I have a 32 waist and weigh 145 lbs and a med was way toooo. small. Ordered a large and was just right.I have a sit on top kayak so you are wet for your whole trip. I've had problems getting a chill. These really helped keep me warm for the trip. It works like a wet suit , you are wet but holds in your body heat.

I ordered an XL after measuring. I received a TINY, TINY pair that says XL on the tag, but clearly isn't. Also, the labels are in Chinese. Returned. Don't bother.

I'm a 5'4" 225 lb. 50" waist apple shaped woman and these men's XXL fit me perfectly, like a glove! I don't love the Velcro (see photo) and they are extremely sweaty on dry land, but they add some warmth and buoyancy and are perfect for ocean snorkeling and reduce wind chill upon exiting the water. I love the high waist and mid thigh length. I also got the matching men's gray top in XXXL and it fits my 46" bust and apple waist easily and the thin raglan style sleeves make them unisex friendly. It is quite long if I pull to stretch it down it will completely cover my butt, after moving around though it is just right, and covers any cameltoe you might worry about with the shorts, but the neoprene is thick enough you really can't tell anyway.

When I received this, it was exactly what I thought I was looking for. The feel was great, it fit well, the price was awesome & the length was perfect too. The only think I didn't care for at this point was the velcro straps in the back since my shirt would sometimes get caught in between it. However, I bought this with the intention to use it for my cardio workouts, eg. Insanity, running, hiking, etc. It worked well for the first month, then I started to notice that the lining in the crotch area seemed to have lost it's neoprene thickness. It seems like all the accumulated sweat (water) deteriorated the material leaving a really thin layer in between the entire crotch area. Almost to a pantyhose feeling. Maybe it'll be good for kayak or paddling use as rash guard protection, but definitely not for strenuous and vigorous cardio sessions.

I like the quality of these and they are warm plus they have two velcro extensions in the back, that attach to the shorts on the rear waist area so you can adjust the waist tightness. A nice plus. The sizing was a tad bigger than expected, so I should have stayed with my pant size and would have been ok. However, they still will fit ok.

Length from waist to leg is about mid-thigh, shorter than I would prefer. Fits like a 6 inch boxer brief. Also, the velcro tabs are not very comfortable. Feels like a huge garment tag ( I hate garment tags) across my lower back. Aside from those personal preferences, the material is of a good quality and the mediums fit my 5'9", 165 lb frame very well.

I just spent 5 hours kayaking in these wetsuit shorts. I was concerned that the two velcro tabs on the back of the waist band might create pressure points against the back band of my kayak. They did not - I felt no pressure or discomfort at all. Never gave them a thought during the entire afternoon.I am 6'4", waist is 35" and hips are 39". The 2XL fits perfectly. A snug, but not too tight, fit and not baggy in the seat as many wetsuits I have tried are.I plan to buy a second pair (maybe the full length ones) so I can layer them for colder conditions.At a price that is 1/3 to 1/2 the price of most other brands this item gets a "big ol five"

Very comfortable and true to size. I'm a 36 waist and ordered a XXL and it fits well without being too snug. The Velcro on the back size adjusting straps isn't fully sewn on around all 4 edges but a quick super glue treatment helped keep it flat/more sturdy for where it can be tightened in the back.
