During the winter, we don't use the side desk and my cats like to sit in front of the glass door. I was always trying to find ways to keep some bedding there for them so that they had a place to lie down, but the coldness from the glass usually had them finding somewhere else to sleep. I liked that this product indicated it would help hold and relfect body heat, keeping the area warm under my cat. I had to put of of their other blankets over it for a while to attract them to the bed - not sure if there was an ordor or other deterent, but after putting one of their blankets over it for a bit, they were enjoying it - even after removing their blanket after a few days. I haven't needed to wash it yet, but even with the coldest mid-west temps, they are cuddling up on it and keeping an eye on the birds and other outdoor activities on the deck during the day.

I have one cat that especially seems to want to find warm places more than my others. I used this inside of the house for her. I smooshed it into a box that she liked so it was even more fluffed, rather than flat on the floor. She took to it right away. It is so soft.Pros:It has a nice feel. Soft. Some cushionSoft crackling noise that they seemed to like.A nice size for an adult, regular sized cat (around 12 lbs on average)You can fold it and store it away in the linen closet when you do not need it.I have not tried to wash it yet so I cannot say anything on that.Cons:None really yet.I do not want to list this as a con. Just a note. It is not as warm as an electric pad. It may comparable to laying on a thicker mat or blankets, trapping body heat beneath the body.

It remains to be seen if the two feral cats in our garage will use this PETZOOKA self-warming pad, but so far, I like it. Both sides are soft, and the middle layer is designed to reflect body heat. It feels somewhat cushioned and comfortable.I placed it in the garage, and both cats were intrigued enough to investigate, though they haven’t laid on it yet (it's hard to compete with an electric heating pad). They may just need time to adjust.The large size fits one cat comfortably or two if they like to cuddle (ours do). It looks good, too. I’m happy with my order and would order it again.

Have some stray kitties eating and sleeping in one of my garages. Poor babies, it's been so cold up north. Had two heated lamps, but kept flipping my breakers so I had to stop using one of them. Saw this and trying it out. There are five kitties that come and go. They are scared of me, and take off as soon as they hear me coming so I can't see them on this mat, but I can tell that they are using it, as I can feel warmth when I touch it. It's soft, and pretty good size too, was surprised how large it was.
