These dog boots are well made and durable and fit my Shiba Inu nicely. I ordered the large size and the feet are the right size for my male Shiba (~22 lbs). The ankles are a little roomy, but cinching the strap down a good bit helps them fit more snuggly. They are pretty easy to put on due to the zipper design that goes all the way to the toes. They function as designed and provide your dog protection from hot ground, cold, and also provide a barrier if your dog has any foot maladies that need covering. So far, I’ve used these quite a few times for my dog who is recovering from a foot injury and he tends to obsessively lick his feet. These boots prevent that and also put him more at ease by taking the option away. The benefit is it keeps his feet dry and protected from further self harm. They stay on his feet when he walks despite his occasional efforts to kick them off. It’s hard for me to tell if these are objectively comfortable shoes. Shibas are notoriously particular and independent, turning their nose up at dog shoes or anything that feels foreign, like harnesses, preferring their natural stride, so he does not look real happy in the photo or whenever I put these on him. I don’t think that reflects on the product, but more on his personality. They have enough room inside so his feet are not cramped, the bottom is nice and soft, the soles are rubbery with plenty of protection, and the ankles move freely as he walks. So they seem like they’d be comfortable. These shoes wash up nicely. I put them in the washing machine on delicate and let them air dry with the flaps opened up. These are nice dog shoes and I hope my boy will get more used to wearing them. They do come with instructions on how to train your dog to like them by providing treats and an abundance of praise. That helps. I imagine there will be varying degrees of success for different breeds of dogs. A working breed like a German Shepherd or Malinois will likely accept these better than a Shiba. Plus, the younger the better - start small and train early. Overall, I really like them and they accomplish the goal of foot protection.

I live in the Southwest where outside temperatures can frequently hit 115 degrees or more Fahrenheit during the summer. The rule of thumb is to add about 30 degrees or more to the outside air temperature to approximate the temperature of the asphalt or pavement. A quick way to check the pavement temperature is to place your hand palm down on it. If the pavement or asphalt is too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your dog to walk on without protection.Welcome, these dog shoe booties! Although I found the sizing to be a bit on the small, tight side, they are certainly easier to get on than other brands due to the zippered front and Velcro strap attachment. The sizing/conversion chart is a little difficult to understand, but if you feel your dog is in between sizes, my suggestion would be to get one size larger. This is a quality, well-made product, with a cushioned front flap and rubber sole. Although they are also practical for the outside snow or icy conditions, I believe this is essential and a paw protection lifesaver for the times when it is just way too hot outside. Your fur babies deserve this level of care and attention.Recommended. Made in China.

My adopted dog is very sensitive to heat. In particular she is going out less and less if the pavement is even remotely warm during the day. With the summer months coming, I've decided we need to find a pair of dog shoes or dog boots for the pup so she isn't uncomfortable. The small dog shoes are definitely a new experience for my dog. Putting on the dog shoes, her paws fit into the holes without issue. The strap on the outside is strong enough to hold the in place and tough enough she can't just chew out or squiggle out of the shoes. While she hasn't really loved wearing the shoes yet, she does go out and will walk around the neighborhood with them on. At first she looked completely ridiculous as she was flinging her legs about I had to bribe her with dog treats to wear all four boots and walk normally. Now she seems to tolerate the idea. The boots seem to be a quality product. The material is strong and durable, but still lightweight. The straps can be adjusted as needed to make the boots fit properly. Most importantly, the bottom sole of the boots offer a thick base so her paws will not get too warm in winter months. Overall, I am very satisfied with the boots and would recommend them to other pet owners

Very cute dog shoes that I expect to be perfect if sized correclty. I am giving this a moderate review because the sizing chart was difficult to understand and somewhat inaccurate. I ordered the 3 size and ensured to measure my doggie's paws accurately. The ultimate result was that they ran very, very small.
