Fits and runs ok but doesn’t advance the timing so now I have an engine code. Had a dealer double check to make sure it was timed correctly and it was. Would recommend sticking with original parts over aftermarket on this one.

This fixed the rattle on startup on my 04 corolla, with the right tools anyone can get this job done.I personally used an air gun(for removing the original cam), a 17 I believe a 10 and 12 as well as a torque wrench.REALLY IMPORTANT TO NOTE, the cam comes in an unlocked state so DO NOT TURN IT until you torque it to 40 foot pounds. You can check to see if it's still in the unlocked position by turning only a millimeter either way but no more or you'll lock it like me. You'll know if it's lockedTorque specs are 10 foot pounds for the small cam caps and 17 for the one big cam capThe way I removed mine is by making sure to mark timing, cracking all the cam cap bolts loose half a turn then loosening them slowly(store them somewhere safe. Then put a bungee cord on the chain so you don't lose timing on the bottom. Pull both cams up to get more slack and wiggle the exhaust cam out first then the intake. Reverse the steps once your change out your part and oil A LOT when reinstalling. Should be good to go🤙

This was a good replacement. All timing marks in place. Good quality and fit. Better than other brands i purchased that were missing the timing dot

I had a little trouble with fitment (very tight fit difficult to get seated). Be sure to be careful of lining up the dowel from the camshaft to the sprocket.Other than that it works great. No timing issue at all. The one reviewer posted it did not work. However there is a solenoid that operates this. Also you need good oil pressure to operate this correctly.

Found this here on Amazon. The local parts house wanted almost double the price, and still had to be ordered. Mine had failed to to the previous owner not changing their oil regularly, and the internal mechanism froze in advanced posistion. Once it was installed, it was like a new car with the strong low-end that it was supposed to have.

I put this in my car, about six hours worth of time only to take my car for a ride and get an engine code because my new phaser gear wont advance my intake cam!!!I had to purchase another one and spend another four hours replacing it.Its so much fun to do a job over because you purchase a product with no quality control!!
