I thought this would be better quality than our plastic connector but boy was I wrong. It leaks every time it is turned on and sprays a huge fountain of water every time it’s turned off. Returning unfortunately. Our plastic connector is better quality.

Very nice heavy duty brass back flow and pressure regulating adapter for drip irrigation....no leak...I've had cheaper plastic versions of these that continually leaked through a weep hole but this one performs flawlessly.

If you're setting up a drip irrigation system, this has everything you need IN BRASS! Backflow preventer, 25psi pressure regulator, and 1/2" irrigation hose connector. Worked perfectly and was easier to install than the plastic RainBird product. Thoroughly impressed with the build quality and more than happy with performance. This is a solid product.

durable. i like this heavy duty brass unit instead of separate plastic ones that come with the drip systems. No chance of breaking it like the plastic ones. Install the tubing, attach it the timer and go.Whats not to like?

As far as I can tell, this does what it claims to to...it regulates pressure down, and provides a break so irrigation water can't backflow into the potable source. I didn't measure the actual PSI coming out, but it "feels" about right for the claimed 25 PSI figure. The barb adapter fits the normal thin wall 1/2" drip line, and if you unscrew the adapter it has male garden hose threads (see first pic) so you could use this between hoses too. However, two things that aren't great:1. There are several pieces of not-fully-finished brass with sharp edges. I ended up slicing a couple of my fingers on it. Wear gloves.2. None of the pieces have any swivel, so you have to get creative when installing it, or else you'll have to get your whole drip line spinning to get it installed. The best would probably be to leave the drip line off, install it on the faucet, slide the ferrule over the drip line, put the drip line over the barb, then screw the ferrule on with pliers because of the resistance on the pipe. But it would have been much better if the garden hose thread end would just swivel.

My drip irrigation system occasionally blows a connection due to the high water pressure. I never thought of installing a pressure regulator until I stumbled upon this item, and thought I would give it a try.It feels rather heavy with an all-brass body. It comes with adapters at both ends, but it turns out I did not need them, only the main regulator body. The installation was very easy as it screws readily onto a standard household hose connector. I would recommend using plumber's tape to ensure that there are no leaks. The end result works great. I can tell that the water pressure is quite a bit less than before, but still strong enough for the drip system to work properly including the spray emitters. I feel that with the rock-solid all-brass construction it should last a long time without corroding. Overall I couldn't be happier with this item.

As an experienced gardener managing my backyard irrigation system (including drip and sprinkler setups for lawns and vegetable beds), I’m now going to transition from plastic to brass fittings after seeing and using this setup. Unlike plastic components, which frequently crack, leak, or fail under routine use—requiring constant repairs—this brass solution should provide great durability and reliability.Key Advantages of Brass Over Plastic:• Build Quality: Made entirely from brass, the fitting is resistant to environmental impact, which should provide enduring long-term performance without too much degradation.• Modular Design: The components unscrew nicely for maintenance, allowing quick access to clear clogs or replace the included rubber washers.• Functionality: The all-in-one kit includes a 25 PSI pressure regulator and backflow preventer for 1/2-inch tubing, streamlining the installation process.• Longevity: Brass fittings have an extended lifespan that eliminates the recurring expenses of replacing plastic parts annually. After integrating this brass connection into my system, I plan to replace all remaining plastic fittings with brass equivalents. For those seeking a dependable, low-maintenance irrigation solution, this kit is a worthwhile investment. Its robust construction and thoughtful design address common pain points of plastic systems, making it an essential upgrade for serious gardeners or hassle-free longevity connections for your yard in general. I now want 3 more of these for my own back yard set up. I hope this helps with your decision!
