I went ahead and bought 2 of these since I was making a number of larger sized jump rings in 10-14ga wires, including stainless steel, and needed something that would be easier to grip the rings with to close them without leaving nasty indentations in the process. These have been working very well for this purpose, though admittedly they give your hands a work out even then with stainless steel in 10-12 ga sizes. I had one pair that worked really well while the second was kind of clunky and didn't seem to want to close as easily or fully as the first, and that ended up being a result of the leaf springs on the pliers. After I straightened the bent ends of the springs a little more they closed completely and smoothly with better springing open action when released. So that little hiccup aside I think these are very good pliers otherwise and I couldn't see knocking a star off for that one thing.

These are very high quality and sturdy, They are now second in use only to my wire stripper pliers. would also be excellent for jewlry and wire bending projects.

These are fine especially for the reasonable price. My only small complaint is the tips of the pliers don’t mate up exactly flush but they’re passable.

Seems to be very decent quality. The machining is very nice, the handles have a plasti-dip coating, there is a spring return. The jaws are smooth and close together fully. I'm using them to make bends 12 gauge steel wire.

These are surprisingly well made, as good as anything I have seen. The jaws are very slightly concave with each other which is helpful in twisting wires together. I also have the Tekton PMN23001 with straight smooth jaws. I find when assembling loudspeaker crossovers, which is all I have used these smooth jar pliers for so far, having both pliers is a plus.

I use these pliers on a daily basis and love them for bending thin "Metal Earth" steel plates without marring the plates. Great product!
