It is heavily built for sure. It's obvious that even before shipped this thing had been beat up, by the looks of the box it ad been dropped SEVERAL times. Paint was scratched and chipped which isn't huge deal since it's going on a tractor but being new, one would expect it to be nice out of the box. One side wouldn't go together without beating it with a hammer to open the gap between the flanges and then the worst part, yeah there's more, is that the holes for the pins on that same side were out of alignment !! I agreed to keep it for a $50 credit. I was able to bore the holes to make the pins work.

This folding ROPS fit our 2305 perfectly. My son installed it for me in just about an hour. As other users have noticed, the hard part is getting one of the bolts loose from the original ROPS.

Was able to craft, out of 300 lbs rated angle steel, support mounting brackets to accommodate this heavy folding ROP. Required significant time to design and fabricate, but, the finished addition proved worth the effort. Added a 50 pd. front weigh for balance and stability. Results; improved ride comfort and safety on slopes.

I installed this on my 2305 and it was fairly easy. Breaking the 1 nut loose was a SOB! PB Blaster and an impact did the job for me. I would not hesitate to purchase this ROPS for your JD 2305. I do not know what I would complain about... Cheapest price around.
