This is very well made and study. The brackets came nicely powder coated with the proper, high quality mounting hardware including nylon nuts. The adjustable pole is 2 inches diameter and a simple twist allows it to slide and lock into desired position. Mounting is simple. The bottom cup is larger than it needs to be and does not allow for proper locking of the pole in place once it is in position. This is easily solved by cutting a piece of 2 inch PVC to place into the cup and then the pole bottom into that. Then the retaining bolts (with wing nuts) snug up against the PVC, pinching the pole and applying tension to hold it in place to prevent it spinning thereby misaligning the Starlink. This product is highly recommended for your Starlink mounting.

Easy install, took about a half hour, and that is only because I dropped a screw and had to hunt for it. Seems to be sturdy in the light wind that is blowing today at full extension. I'm not sure I'd leave it fully extended in high winds though, but it is tall enough to clear the top of the rig without being fully extended. I would change the size on the bottom support cup, it's about an inch bigger than it really needs to be. Also some type of clip to keep the cable from blowing around on the pole would be a good idea.

Just what I needed to hold my starling.

This works great on my motorhome. I like that it securely holds my Starlink v3 antenna up out of reach of kicking on accident or easy pilfering. It is very secure. First time use was the last week of the season at Convict Lake in the eastern sierras. One night the wind was gusting 70mph, the motorhome was rocking and rolling, and the antenna stayed put. It compresses short enough to fit in my bay. As a matter of comparison, this pole is much sturdier than a telescopic flat pole. I would not use a flagpole to hold my expensive antenna. Even in 35mph sustained winds with gusts to 70, Starlink remained fully functional.

If you're stressed about your $500 Starlink falling 16ft to its death, same. I was too. We live in our RV so I got this flag pole and adapter and it's worked amazing for us so far through North Dakota and Wyoming storms with winds anywhere from 30-60mph gusts. The Starlink adapter has a screw that tightens it to the flag pole, but I drilled a hole through the flag pole for the screw to actually go through, so it's not going anywhere. We keep the pole as retracted as we can to keep it as strong as possible, there's no need to have it maxed out if you have a clear view of the sky. The pole collapses nicely and we keep the brackets attached to the ladder (1") as we travel. We run our Starlink cable down the pole and zip tie it, some people just spin it around the pole. Then through the bumper and through our slide. Highly recommend!

I purchased the pole for a Starlink mini just before leaving with my RV for NC. Set up was easy and straightforward and the device met all my needs. I liked that all parts are metal. The one dislike was that the product was missing parts. The two thumb screws for the base cup were missing. I did not have time to return it so I purchased two screws from a hardware store.

I am 60 years old and was able to install this myself. If you have an Allen wrench on a ratchet, it makes it 10 times easier. Material seems strong and not flimsy. The base circumference is way too big for the pole. I don’t know why they did that. I got creative so it would not rattle around. The angle for the Starlink is perfect. I just had to rotate it in the right direction. Thought it was too expensive, but I’m old everything is too expensive.

Brackets are a tad clumsy to install as you juggle the screws/nuts (all stainless steel) but once installed, nice and solid! They fit my 1 inch RV ladder perfectly. My ladder is not straight up/down (either sideways or front/back). So you need to assess your install so you can best keep your pole reasonably vertical (advice, not the products issue). The lower cup for the bottom of the pole is big for the 10 foot pole but apparently this allows it to use other poles of greater length and diameter. I cut a 2 inch piece of PVC plumbing pipe with a 2 inch ID and it fit decently in the CUP and also provides improved tightening of the screws when the pole drops into the cup. The screws tighten against the PVC, gripping the pole evenly, not potentially denting the aluminum pole. With this setup, my pole is rigid and no sway. Either way, it works well and secure. The 10 foot pole I got, all sections but one work/slide very smoothly and and the one section seems a bit tight/rough to work but still seems secure. The GEN3 bracket is nice die cast metal but I made a mistake and needed the adapter for the Starlink MINI. Fortunately, the seller is getting the MINI adapter into stock and offered to exchange my GEN3 for a MINI for free - TOTALLY SAVES THE DAY!!! I got the brackets and the pole installed and it works well. I chose this model/brand for the brackets first (not plastic) and adjustable and 2nd for the pole which seemed convenient being telescoping vs: multiple separate sections. After the install, the pole simply extends and slips into the brackets all in 1 minute. With the MINI adapter, my setup will meet my expectations.UPDATE: Seller delivered the StarLink MINI adapter and it is clean and solid metal and fits the starlink and pole perfectly - Very Nice - Totally Pleased!

I only wish that the upper metal brackets would have rubber covering the little wings so that it would be smoother as we line up the telescopic into it. Having rubber covering over the little wings would prevent the pipe to vibrate into the wind. so, I ended up using gorilla tape over the little wings.Otherwise, it is well build. I no longer need to climb the lather with one hands to sit down the Starlink antenna on the roof, I can now stay on the ground, fish the telescopic pipe through the wing brackets.I recommend it.
