It doesn't fit 1 of the 2 items I wanted it to. It's a slide lock when the codes in. Does the trick for light security.

This is great! We built an escape room in our basement for a birthday and this was one of the pieces. It was perfect. The code was easy to set, and change, it held the clues, was sturdy and looks great on a bookshelf!

I bought the Alice in Wonderland combination safe as a gift for a teenage girl. She was excited to receive the book "Alice in Wonderland" because she's been wanting to read it. While it turned out not to be a book, she was even more excited to find the hidden combination safe (and now I know to buy her the real book). The lock was easy to set and use.

clearly it is a joke to think that your valuables will be protected in this little book that anyone can walk away with and pop open the "safe" with a screwdriver. The main thing is that it blends in with the other books on the bookshelf, which it kind of does, the real pages helps, so that no one notices it in the first place. I'm glad I bought it, would buy it again, but it is what it is, there's no way a little fake book, even with a flimsy lock box in it, would be safe from thieves if they figure out it's not really a book.
