Bought a size small but these are not a size small. They are marked as small but the waist measurement of them is 31 inches that is an XL on the chart. The small should be 26 inches. I took a different pair that is a small that fit my daughter perfect and compared them to these you can see in the picture the huge difference in size (light grey ones are a true size small) I’m returning them and I don’t recommend these the sizes are way off.

I typically wear a Xl but because of the reviews I got an xxl and it is still too tight and there is no stretch with these. Other than that they are at a really great length so no chafing, seems like a decent pair of shorts but sadly I will have to return

Is this for girls sizing because it’s way too small. I bought a large size in another brand and it fit fine.

Update - I bought a second pair in black as I love these. I bought the second pair in large and it fits better. These are so comfy I’m considering a third pair in another color. I own other shorts but these feel good all day long and having six pockets is very handy.These shorts are sooo comfortable. I’ve been wearing them almost daily now that summer weather has arrived, despite having half a dozen other shorts.I love the look. I love all the pockets, most big enough for my cell phone. I love the fit. Use the sizing chart on Amazon, or. Go up at least one size, as they are cut small for American sizes. One of the photos on Amazon looks like there is elastic in the back. There isn’t any elastic in the waistline.These have gone through the washer and dryer four or five times before the photo with the belt was taken. The colors didn’t run and there was no noticeable shrinkage. I ordered grey (looks more like khaki to me).I like that these are great for running errands when paired with a t-shirt. Add a belt and a nice shirt and they are perfect for the evening BBQ party. I’m very happy with these cargo shorts.My reviews are my honest opinion of each product I review. I use, usually several times, a product before I write a review. I’ve been wearing these shorts several times a week for the last 3 weeks.

Finally, great caargo pants with perfect pockets. I live in the country and it's nice to carry a small flashlight with me, along with cellphone and pocket knife. Pockets are deep!I ordered small, I'm 5'4 and 130 pounds. They fit perfectly, even though I have the tummy roll that comes with aging. The elastic waist solves that problem nicely!The length of the cargo shorts is great, I don't like short shorts. The fabric is not as heavy as the brands sold in sporting stores, but the shorts held up very well after several weeks of wear. They do not wrinkle in the dryer.
