One of our kitties likes to pee standing up. We tried a covered box to keep him from peeing over the side but he must not have liked the cover. Sometimes he'd go in the box and sometimes he wouldn't. He'd stand outside and pee into the box. Sometimes most of it went in the box and sometimes it didn't. In any case, it was usually a nasty mess to clean up every day. When given this box, he immediately started going into the box to pee every time and the walls are high enough that he can't pee over the side. No more nasty mess to clean up every day. Problem solved! Love this box; not inexpensive but worth every penny.

Now that my 2x 15lb cats have been using this litter box for 10 weeks I thought it an ideal time to post an honest review. It is nestled nicely behind the bathroom door where they have easy access & the stainless steel looks very nice. Being stainless steel, it's very heavy as well which can be both good (sturdy) & bad (hard for the monthly wash out). I do have 2 additional negative points, the edges are on the sharp side as they aren't beveled & the stainless steel doors eventually get rust spots where the cats urinate most (see photos). I use a soy based litter & scoop daily with the see of when I go out of town (once a month for up to 5 days in which case I add 2 more litter boxes to the home. ) Regardless of those negatives, I intend to purchase another if I ever move into a larger home (currently in 880sqft).

Yes, this litter box is pricey But you get what you pay for. The high sides prevent most litter from escaping. The stainless cleans up nicely. It’s a good looking box. Minimizing daily litter mess is worth the extra cost. I recommend putting the box on a silicone mat to catch what litter comes out on kitty’s feet.

I recently picked up a stainless steel cat litter pan, and I have to say, it’s been a game changer! First off, it’s such a great deal for the quality you get. I love how easy it is to clean—just a quick wipe down, and it looks good as new. Plus, I've noticed that it really doesn’t stink like some of the plastic ones I've used before. My kitty seems to like it too! Overall, this pan has made litter box duty much more pleasant. Highly recommend it to any cat owner!

This product is dangerous. The edges on the top are all unfinished and very sharp. I had to use a dremel to do the finishing myself. I bought this one and another similar one but has the opening on the narrow side. That one was much better finished with rolled edges and smoothed. The build quality on this one with the opening on the broad side is terrible - not usable out of the box. I can see it hurting my cats if they tough the top edges.

My litter box works great. However, it arrived with a dented corner and did not come with any wheels as shown. The dent wont effect how it works so not sending it back. I am disappointed that it did not come with wheels.

I've been waiting for someone to manufacture a stainless steel box with this design! I.e., high-sided and with the entrance on the longer side. This design encourages elevator-butt-peeing cats to turn around when they enter the box, so their urine stream hits the walls of the litter box instead of spurting out the entrance. I've been using a plastic version for several years, but it was getting really scratched up.So far, this litter box is working well. The only problem is that the clumped urine really sticks to one particular area of the box — I think where she pees the most? This was also an issue with the plastic box but, with this stainless steel box, it takes a bit more muscle to get the clump loose. I'm experimenting with underlaying the litter with baking soda and this seems to help. The box is heavy but manageable; and it cleans up quickly and easily if you give it a quick soak. (Speedy cleaning is important since I only have one box for now. I try to time cleaning it while she is napping.)I do not find the edges to be at all sharp, as some people have mentioned. I should note that I have covered the handle openings with clear packing tape (both inside and outside). I am a firm believer in Murphy's Law, so, since my cat is an elevator-butt urinator, I figured it's just a matter of time before she aims her butt at one of the handle openings. :-)All in all, I am very happy with this box. Thank you to whoever realized this design configuration was needed in a stainless steel version.

Cats took to it right way. Litter smell reduced as stainless still doesn’t absorb smells like plastic. Expensive, worth it so far. Let’s see if they are in fact quality stainless steel and last accordingly.
