Wonderful driver! This even accepts the double ended Wiha bits! The ESD model had a slimmer profile than the standard driver, making this a great EDC option for those who want a full size handle.

En mi opinión, el mejor destornillador ( maneral ) para puntas de 1/4 del mercado. Wiha hace herramientas de primera calidad ( made in Germany ) y aunque el precio es un poco elevado, bien lo vale. Este destornillador tiene dos cualidades muy relevantes, tiene protección ESD ( para electrónica ) y utiliza un sistema de fijación de puntas " Centrofix" . Simplemente el mejor 🪛 !

The locking mechanism is perfectly designed to accommodate many types of 1/4" bits, and it secures them tightly. Also you have to pull it forward to release, so this takes care of the problem of having an object push against the tip and unwantingly releasing the bit. The handle feels great, and the slim design is very comfortable in hand.

This handle will also grab and hold the Japanese long shank (13mm) bits in addition the US (9mm) bits.

I have owned this driver for more than ten years. It is still one of my most prized tools.I mostly use it to take apart computers. It is helpful for all sorts of applications, but it is small and not ideal for really heavy-duty jobs. This is not a criticism: this bit holder was not designed for heavy-duty work but specifically for electronics work.One advantage is that it is one of the few bit holders that can use the Wiha double-ended bits of these sets:Technician set model # 77781,Tradesman's set model # 77780 andIndustrial set model # 77782.

I've had a hard time finding bitholders that hold "power" bits (with the radiused notch on the end) and not just magnetic bits. This is a quality tool, as you'd expect from Wiha. I wish they made a non-ESD version, as I don't need that feature and it adds to the cost.My only gripe is that I'm not sure if the collet sleeve is supposed to hold itself open when you remove a bit. It does on my tool but just barely... the slightest bump will cause it to snap closed. The collet on my Milwaukee 12v driver is much more positive and always stays open when empty, so you can easily insert a bit with one hand.
