Got this for a star themed gift for someone who plays acoustic guitar. They work. Didn't break yet. Not too expensive.

I won't buy these again. I keep breaking them. With the opening in the middle, they are not strong enough. If you strum lightly, maybe you'd like them.

These actually work. I am able to relax my fingers more, not having to hold the pick so tightly, which gives me more pick control, thus better detail and accuracy in my picking. One thing that took a couple of minutes to get used to was not being able to move the pick around in my fingers. As I play, mixing strumming with arpeggios, I change the attack by moving the pick position in my fingers, I do it constantly. But once I got more used to the Star, I realised that came about more as a bad habit to keep me from dropping the pick. Once I got confident in the grip of the Star Pick, it was almost like a whole new approach to picking for me. I've been playing for 30 years, been in many bands, never thought a simple guitar pick would make such a difference in my playing. It didn't really shine for me until I played some fast arpeggios, and then I noticed how much more clean and accurate they sounded. These are for my acoustic, I got some .60 orange Stars for the electric, haven't tried them yet, but I would imagine the results will be comparable.Label me amazed.

I have tried many guitar picks that advertise a special grip system. This one is simple, cheap and works better than most

my wife is new to guitar, and she was having trouble keeping a firm grip on her picks. i thought it might be a good idea to get her some of these star picks to make her life a bit easier. she loves them!for mediums, they seem a bit too flexible. perhaps it's because there's a dang star-shaped hole punched through the center! so maybe if you like a bit firmer pick, you should go up to the heavy's.overall, a very decent product at a great price!

I received them fast. I got them because I have arthritis and it is difficult to hold on to my picks. The star pick is easier to hold on to.
