Your cart is empty. The Fantasia brand of Translucent Sapphire and Kyanite rough you are ordering is 100% natural and imported directly from the mine in Brazil to Fantasia Mining's USA rock yard. This material has a beautiful color and is translucent when held up to a light which is very RARE as seen in the images! It is perfect for polishing, cabbing, cutting, wire wrapping or keeping in it's natural form as a specimen. Your order will contain multiple pieces of this spectacular material of varying natural sizes, shapes, clarity and patterns as shown in the images which is equal to or greater than the weight purchased.
VERY IMPORTANT: This is rough natural material which means you are receiving it exactly how it came out of the ground. The stones may be dirty and need cleaning. Pictures may have been taken with the stones being wet with a light behind them to show the materials true colors. It may not have the same appearance when dry unless it has been polished, tumbled, or cabbed. While most stones are translucent there may be some pieces that are opaque. These stones come from an area of the mine where both Blue Sapphire and Kyanite are found but since the materials are mixed it is possible to get only sapphire or only kyanite in your order. In most cases we find about 10% of the material we receive is sapphire, while 90% of the material is Kyanite so you are more likely to receive kyanite than sapphire for most or all of your stones. I did order this and happy with it as kyanite. Although a geologist friend told me that sapphire absolutely does not grow with kyanite not is sapphire really found in Brazil. I'd like to be proven wrong. Either way, I do like the stones even though they're small and reasonable price considering the grade. Unless you can prove there's sapphire in this, I would take the sapphire part down to keep people from making themselves look dumb. When I showed this to a few veteran miners and a geologist and said it was sapphire/kyanite I got laughed at

My son bought one of these for his birthday. It arrived in 5 days. We opened it outside in case it smelled bad. It had a mild formaldehyde smell but not too bad. After opening it you could see a bunch of bumps where the pearls were. All together we found 30! Wow! We were hoping for at least 20. The colors ranged from cream, peach, light orange and silver. We were getting ready to throw out the shell when my son noticed a tiny one hiding in the meat. We're very happy with this buy.

Do not buy. Nothing like the picture, received 3 small pieces, all so badly cracked. Two were tiny and they crumbled when tried to clean, and the bigger piece broke in half while holding it in my hand. None of them were translucent at all.

Very beautiful stones indeed. A mixture of Sapphire and Kyanite is wonderful and very eye catching if your a real rock hound. My purchase came with a free clear quartz sample as well (very nice) Definetly would recommend this purchase and I look forward to purchasing from Fantasia Mining, Inc. again very soon.

I order the 50 carrot lot and got it on time. it had three 1/2 in sapphires and a very small twin point. sapphires are not transparent to the look without a flash light. they do shimmer went wet. over all very small but very nice. hardness is 9.0 compared to diamond at 10. happy hunting.
