The finished product looks great. It actually turned out well, I work on my cars but I never really get too deep in automotive electrical. I’ve swapped plenty of batteries but never had to replace the ends. The whole operation was smooth but I was able to utilize my Greenlee K05 crimpers, which are not an every man’s tool. There are similar style tools available for cheap here on Amazon so I’d look into those if you’re going to install this kit. I don’t recommend trying to hammer or squeeze the ends with anything else, crimpers are a specific tool for a reason. I’d fear using any other method will lead to having a bad connection - arcing - electrical fire - no more car. The rubber plastic finish covers didn’t work out though, the intent was nice but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Rather expensive but if you're looking here you probably need this. Everything arrived as described though a little jumbled it's all there. Now go make your vehicle work better.

I had a 400 battery with cheap connectors, changed them out to these Fastronix and sold connection, I seriously doubt these are militarty spec, I am not even sure this is such a thing , but in my application- I went from a D- like all my High School Grades to and A !

I only used the positive terminal since that was the bad one, did have to get smaller connectors since the ones with the kit were way too big. Swapped the terminal in, no more starting issue, cranks nice and quick

These are excellent top post battery terminals. I've bought two of these kits and both have been high quality. They work great for wiring a winch or other aftermarket electrical accessories that need to connect directly to the battery because you can place large ring terminals on either side of the through bolt, allowing more space to add wires. The use of ring terminals for the individual wires also allows you to easily disconnect the battery without removing the lead terminals themselves. This will help make the lead terminals last longer, as repeatedly removing them from the battery posts deforms the lead and eventually reduces the capability of the terminals to clamp the posts. This kit includes everything you need to wire in the new terminals, including four crimp on ring terminals for your battery cables, heat shrink for the ring terminals, bolts to attach the lead terminals and battery cables, and nice rubber covers that are color coded. All of the hardware is high quality. The ring terminals are too big for normal crimps, so you will either need a set of battery cable crimps, or use vice grips like I did (not ideal but works, and you can cover the ugly crimp with the heat shrink...)

Was nervous looking for new contacts that would be of good quality and not be dependant on hex screws to hold down a connection like some other products available on Amazon. These are very good quality. Used them on my 2004 Acura TL. Fit great and they have great clamping force. Lots of room to add accesories, and you dont have to disconnect the main to access any accessory wire you may be adding or removing. Nice that they come in different sizes for + and - as that is a common complaint with other products that theyre the both size, not the case with these they are proper size. The rubber covers are awesome too ! Very satisfied and would recommend

These are a huge upgrade over just about anything else factory out there, and if you have extra accessory wiring direct to the battery they do a much cleaner and more secure job of it than standard terminals. In the past I've bought batteries with side and top posts to use the side posts for accessories but the problem is these days the side posts are not made very well and the threads strip over time if they are used often even if you are careful. They are quite a bit more secure, and made of harder material than standard terminals, they still conform to the post very well but you can actually tighten them without worrying about splitting the clamp as many cheaper options have issues with if they are used frequently. The only thing to be aware of is that these are large terminals and with some batteries you may only be able to mount them in one direction which can limit the options for installation and possibly require additional re-wiring. This was the case with my S10 blazer where the negative side of the battery is partly tucked under the rolled fender where it meets the hood. The factory negative wire comes across the top of the battery at an angle to the post, however with my battery these clamps had to be positioned 90 degrees to the length of the battery (My X2 Power battery had a recessed area for the clamp but due to the extra size of these clamps there was no ability to rotate it unless it was higher than the recessed area on the battery which would then compromise the clamping to the post) so I had to re-wire the negative wire for some extra length and it complicates getting the negative clamp and accessories on/off. That's more of a battery/application specific issue than a knock against the product it's just something to be aware of.
