LOVE LOVE LOVE this guitar. Bought for my 17 yr old daughter for her birthday. She has never played before and she is doing great on it.The tuner is actually pretty accurate for a free tuner. Definitely good enough for a beginner.Another cool thing is that the soft case is also a backpack. It is also pretty thick. I feel it will protect the guitar. It has a great sound, easy to tune and looks great.Fender did not cut any corners with this guitar.

I am an electric guitar player, and this is my first acoustic guitar. I love to play the blues, and thought I would have trouble getting the tone I want out of bends, but this guitar has a beautiful tone.I am now in love with acoustic guitar, and blown away by the quality of sound I did not expect to come out of this guitar.I have no issues getting into the groove with this thing, and was surprised to find hammer-ons and pull-offs to be carried in a beautiful manner.I have tinkered with acoustics while in pawn shops and guitar stores, and some of those were top of the line. This guitar is able to be played right next to those, no problem, and I would actually favor the bluesy tone of this one to most of higher end ones. The item arrived as expected, and in wonderful condition, within a nicely cushioned box. For $149, this guitar is a steal. I believe it to be of professional quality. The only cons I would list:- The gig bag needs an accessory pocket. There isn't one. I would have liked to tuck away all the nice little things Fender included in the package, but I now have them all over the place.-The frets are a bit sharp. I took a file and very carefully filled the edges down to where I wouldn't accidentally slice my finger during a wild emotional blues solo. The reason I don't believe these to be cons, would be the price of the guitar. I believe fender put more into the sound of this thing, than the finer unimportant details. This guitar is worth twice to me, what I paid for it.

The guitar is good but the bag was cheap and flimsy. I’m buying myself a better bag. But the tuner was simple but effective. It doesn’t come with picks so plan on buying those.

Very nice sound. Has EVERYTHING to start you off. Only downside was that a string broke while tuning the first time. BUT, you get extra set of strings, so no worries.

I've had this for a few days now. One thing to know is that the guitar came pre-strung, and had an extra pack of strings. So that's a bonus. Starting at the outside working in, the guitar came in sturdy packaging. Dual layers of heavy corrugated cardboard protected the sensitive areas. There was a small tear at one spot but it didn't even get through the outer layer of cardboard. So, box is good. Pulling out the guitar, I have to say that it is gorgeous! The finish is incredible. It looks way better than a buck fifty guitar. It also came pre-strung, and had an extra set of strings in the box. About ten minutes after the guitar was delivered, I was tuning it with the included electronic tuner. I'll say that it sounds good, but I probably should phrase it as "It sounds good for a beginner guitar." But I'll leave it at that. I do know woodworking, though, and I have to emphasize that the craftsmanship is better than the 150 price tag would make you think you're getting. I'm extremely happy with it.The guitar bag. It's good quality, padded, sturdy, but there are no pockets or anything to hold your kit. But again, for $150? It's a darn good bag. know that you'll need a small pouch or something to hold your stuff (the extra strings, your picks, your capo and string wrench/winder that you eventually buy, etc.)Finally, it's made in China, if that matters to you. I couldn't find manufacturing origin anywhere on the item's listing, so I'll let you know here. But again, you're getting a decent guitar for an incredibly affordable price.

So after a lifetime of music, I finally decided to learn the one instrument I never learned as a child. Picked this up because it had predominantly positive reviews and, from those I know who have it, it's always sounded pretty good to me. It arrived early this morning (a full day before I expected it), and thus far I'm thoroughly impressed! Maybe its just the luck of the draw, but mine doesn't have ANY of the minor cosmetic flaws others have reported... in fact, it's downright beautiful in my book. Those who have said that it's almost a mirrored finish are spot on... this guitar WILL take upkeep or it'll attract fingerprints, but that's ok by me. If you're going to play an instrument of any kind, you need to be willing to take care of it. Also different from what others have reported, mine actually did come with the Fender brand tuner (which works like a charm and is VERY easy to use), though the strap is unbranded (fine by me). While I've never learned guitar before, I've been around them my whole life, much of which has been spent as an audio engineer/pro audio technician, and this is significantly better quality than I've come to expect in this price range and has a wonderful sound to boot. As far as I'm concerned, this deal is an all-around win... now I just have to learn how to actually play it!

This is a great starter set for someone who is just learning how to play guitar. The kit that the guitar comes with is prefect has everything you need as a beginner. The electronic tuner is awesome just put it at the end of the neck and leave it, it swivels up and down so you don't have to take it off every time you tune your guitar. I has good sound its not a 600 fender but I just started playing and I think it has very smooth and nice sound. It comes with a neck strap extra strings picks, a nice padded soft sided bag. The overall quality of the set was very good compared to some guitars I seen advertised on TV for 450$ and that's just the guitar.
