When we got our Black and Decker string trimmer, it came with two spools pre-loaded with cutting line. When the line ran out, they wanted us to buy new pre-loaded spools. That got pricey real quick. I figured I could wrap line around a spool if I got a good enough deal on bulk line. And I did. This product from Amazon has worked as well-- or better -- than the original spools ... just be patient as the wrapping takes a little while.

After seeing the price for replacement spools for the Craftsman line edgers at the big box home improvement stores, I was happy to find this line on Amazon. $10.59 328ft compared to $24.94 for 90 ft (3 pre-spooled) replacements. I had purchased replacements before and now have the extra spools. I read some of the reviews saying how difficult this line is to handle once opened. If anyone is interested I put the string in an old plastic storage container with a cardboard and pvc insert to hold the line in place. Then just fed the line from the center of the spool up through the cardboard and pvc and out of the lid. Then cut the zip ties. Works great, no tangles, easy to pull out what you need. I hope this was helpful.

I'm sure this is a fine trimmer line for weed wackers, but I wanted to give it a shot in my 3D printer. It's a nice bright blue color.You can't just buy this stuff and print it, you will need to re-spool it (A royal PITA) and then desiccate it. But I can't hold that against this product, since it isn't intended for printing. After about 24-hours in a filament dryer at 70°C, it prints quite nicely.If you print it out while it is still wet, know that the amount of foaming will depend on how fast you are printing. The faster you print, the less it will foam. In some cases this can lead to a cool "frosted" effect, where the edges look light blue and the inner surfaces look darker blue. Kinda neat.My settings for 80mm/sec:* First two layers: 260°C hotend, 100°C bed* All other layers: 250°C hotend, 80°C bedThe difference in heating between the first two layers and the rest of the print is to keep the first two layers from delaminating. The rest of the layers will print fine at 250°C.I suspect this filament to be relatively pure Nylon 6, but that's largely a guess from my research. It prints very similar to other filaments I've determined to be Nylon 6.

Materiaal is mooi verpakt maar droogt snel uit in de onverwarmde garage Resultaat het materiaal wordt iets harder en breekt dan continu afen is daarmee onbruikbaar Maar… bij toeval wat op gevonden smeer het te gebruiken materiaal lengte in de bosmaaier vòòr montage in met vaseline of beter met machine vet en het materiaal wordt weer wat zachter en taaier en breekt nu minder snel af, eureka!!!
