This fibre optic DP cable is really useful as the wire is thinner and more flexible than a standard DP cable. This makes it useful for making neater runs across skirting boards or jumps through door frames without any drilling, while still keeping it relatively neat. At the cable lengths supplied, it is unlikely that there is any benefit to signals, as degradation resulting in loss is unlikely at these short distances anyway, given that DP is a digital signal. These cables are significantly more costly, so there is that to factor into the equation, but if you have a use case scenario that would make these useful, these cables do the job well.

This fiber optic Display Port cable seems more responsive than a standard display port cable. Be sure to plug the Source end of the Fiber Optic Display Port cable into the video card and the Monitor end into the monitor. The cable is for sure Super Flexible. This cable did not work with a Display Port Version 1.1a but worked great with Version 1.4. I would assume this cable will be compatible with Display Port Versions 1.4 and greater. I did not have the ability to test the cable between versions 1.1 and 1.4.I have been in the process of converting my network to fiber optic so it is nice to have the ability to convert my video cables to fiber optic as well.At the time of this review the Fiber Optic Displayport 2.1 Cable was selling for $37.99 for a 10-foot super flexible fiber optic Display Port cable.

I'm glad I got this cable as it's so thin and flexible. Tested well with 1440p 144hz monitors. They feel durable too. Be careful as they are one direction only. Not a big deal for DP cables, but can be for HDMI use cases.

Overall: ★★★★★Specifics and QuirksThis 3-meter DisplayPort 2.1 cable offers exceptional performance and flexibility. It's significantly thinner than my other DP cables, making it much easier to manage and route. The uni-directional design is clearly marked on the connectors to ensure correct installation. In my testing, the cable performed flawlessly, delivering crystal-clear visuals and audio without any signal loss or interference.Pros:Excellent signal transmissionSupports high resolutions and refresh ratesFlexible and easy to manageDurable connectorsCons:None that I foundPractical Advice:The cable is Uni Directional. It's easy to miss the first time if you haven't run in to this before. The connectors are nicely printed with two words, Source and Display, even an CGA, EGA and VGA era guy like me figured it out.
