I can confirm firmware can be updated using St-link V2 programmer. The issue is USB access is not available while in DFU mode. St-link programs over SWD pin, so the lack of USB access isn't a problem.

First, the firmware that comes with this is next to useless. In order to have full features, you need to buy an ST-Link, download ST-Link software, then download the official odrive 3.6 firmware and upload it to the odesc using the ST-Link. I was unable to figure out how to upload new firmware over the USB, which made the ST-Link necessary.Second, once the odrive 3.6 firmware is uploaded and odrivetool is on your computer, the odesc can be programmed using the odrive 3.6 reference. I am using it with an arduino and an UART serial connection and it generally works well and is a quarter the price of an odrive. Once the appropriate firmware was on the odesc, the only problem that I have encountered is minor issues with the getfeedback() command.

While it looks good on first view and feel, this board is but a cheap clone of an ODrive Pro.It might seem like a no brainer given the original odrive is some 200$ -- However, this board is not able to run in most use cases. The controller on the board is flashed with an outdated, modified firmware of an Odrive 3.6 -- Modified in such a way that the official firmwares are NOT COMPATIBLE. (Please don't attempt to flash it, it WILL break irreversibly.) Given that the manufacturer of this clone has no interest in sharing their firmware version, you'll be stuck with a board that uses an outdated firmware with many bugs and potholes troughout. The use of Hall effect sensors for example is not possible. The board will simply crash upon calibration. As such, I can only recommend getting an original Odrive, even if it's four times the price. This clone not worth the frustration and time wasted, as well as the work to send it back after it inevitably fails at it's job.If it were to work, it'd be a hell of a deal -- But it doesn't. You have been warned.
