This Ocean Themed Busy Book has nice, thick spiral bound pages and comes with a big pack of 8 dry erase markers. Also included are punch out shapes and figures that attach by velcro to various pages in the activity book. The images are cute and colorful and perfect for young children. The pages include tracing activities, mazes, counting and matching activities and tic-tac-toe. It playfully encourages hand eye coordination and dexterity plus mental learning exercises. This is great to have on hand at home or on the go. The pages are thick and durable and erase easily when used with dry erase markers. At under $8 this is a great value for the price.

This is a cute activity book for kids obsessed with vehicles. The pages and vehicles are made of heavy duty cardstock and are brightly colored. The book is spiral bound. A variety of concepts are introduced, including right/left, colors, community helpers, patterns, greater than/less than/equal, air/sea/land, etc. Be aware that this does not come assembled. You receive the book, several sheets of cut out vehicles, and adhesive backed hook & loop circles to use to attach the cut out vehicles to the page they belong on in the book. There are no instructions, so it took me a bit to figure out where to put them. The loop circles (fuzzy) go on the back of the vehicles, and the hook circles (scratchy) go on the pages. Most pages have a dotted circle, so that is intuitive--but at the end I had a lot of hooked circles left. I realized that you need the hook circles on both pages, even the ones without the dotted circles, so that you can move the vehicles back and forth on the pages. I found the easiest way to get the hooks & loops lined up was to put the hook on the dotted circle on the page, then attach the loop circle to the hook circle with the adhesive up, then take the matching vehicle and line it up with the outline, sticking it to the adhesive backing. To install the hook circle on the other side of the page, pull the vehicle off, and line up a hook circle to the loop on the back of the vehicle, then line it up with the vehicle outline on the other side of the page. I noticed that the adhesive wanted to pull up at first, so be careful while assembling, but after sitting for a few days it was strong and solid. Overall, I like the quality of this book and it is a favorite with my boys!

My 3-1/2 year old granddaughter enjoyed these busy boards and put together the 3 books in one afternoon, as well as practiced writing letters and numbers with the 4th book. These books are probably good for ages 3 - 6 (definitely NOT 14), depending on the developmental ability of the child. She really liked the writing book. It came with 2 red, 2 black and 1 green pen (no blue). The ink was hard to remove a few days after writing, so I would suggest erasing sooner versus later. I love that a zipper bag was included to keep the pieces together (and keep out little sister!)I had to attach the velcro to the pages and items for the other three books. The velcro was very sticky (good) but the dots were small, so my granddaughter had a hard time getting the pieces to stick together. I had to check and rearrange to make sure the pieces stuck when we went to another page. For two of the books the items could be put on either of 2 facing pages, such as one page listing the animals and the other matching the animal to their homes. The writing book is the key book my granddaughter will probably use in the future. The others were fun to work once, but one was super easy to do (job matching) and the others didn’t really hold her interest much.

This book is full of activities for little ones. A wide variety of colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. It also comes with a set of dry-erase markers for tracing and coloring. Unfortunately, my little one (age 4 with speech delay) was only interested in the animal part of the book! The book is of good quality and it is perfect for learning and fine motor skills. The farm book has animals, fruits and veggies, as well as weather and plant growth cycle. There are dozens of little pieces on a grid that you need to punch out. You also need to apply the velcro circles to each page and the pieces, which is tedious. There is a carrying case, but it's very unorganized. I decided to use small baggies to keep things in order.I believe this book is a good learning tool if it's used more like a lesson plan for structured teaching rather than something to let the kids just have at it.I give this product 4 stars because my 4-year-old is too advanced for the major part of the book, which is simply matching the pieces to the pictures. Also, there are so many small pieces, my little one had them EVERYWHERE!

My 3 year old was so excited to use this busy book! His older brother is always working on his letters and math, but this one was right on the little guy’s level with the pictures of cars/trucks/the solar system.I love that it came with different colored dry erase markers (just like his brother’s!), and there were pages for him to “practice writing” too. It also comes with a nice bag for all the little pieces, which is great when you’re trying to keep everything together. This is right on point for age 3 and it’s something he was able to work on independently! It’s very engaging with tons of bright colors and engaging pictures. It’s not messy in any way, so if your little one is quiet somewhere with this book, you don’t have to worry. The Velcro is great for hand-eye coordination and it’s different than a puzzle or coloring book, so the novelty takes a long time to wear off.As a former teacher and preschool administrator, I can confirm this hits a lot of the preschool skills like problem solving, matching, color recognition, critical thinking, etc.The only con to this book is that the setup takes a bit of time; it’s not just open and go. You do have to put the sticky Velcro dots on both the book pages and the pieces, after punching them out. Most busy books are like this, so it’s not a huge deal, just time consuming at first.
