I’m really happy with this travel sketchbook set. Each book has 100 pages, which gives plenty of space for sketches and notes on the go. The 8" x 5.6" size is perfect — compact enough to carry easily but still offers a good drawing area.I also love that it comes as a two-pack at an affordable price, so you get great value without breaking the bank. The paper quality is nice for pencil and pen sketches, and the lightweight design makes it super travel-friendly. Definitely recommend if you want a practical, budget-friendly sketchbook for your adventures!

I bought these journals for some daily entries which combine writing with pen drawings. They work great (I love the size!) with very smooth paper that doesn’t cause my nib ink pen to skip or skitter across the page. The paper also works well with pencil lead and standard gel writing pens. It’s not advertised as being a good match for wet media and I concur. It does *not* work well for watercolor or watercolor pencils; there’s simply not enough weight or structure to the paper to keep it from buckling with wet media.These journals have a really solid spiral binding; it doesn’t crush easily, even when dropped into a backpack with an assortment of hardcover books. Hint: Make sure and “close" the journal using the attached elastic strap to keep the journal’s front and back covers closed.

The sketchbook has a smooth hard cover. It’s very stiff, making it very easy to sketch in when standing without other support for the book.There is an elastic band to keep the book closed (and protect the pages within from having their edges wrinkled)—nice.The paper is smooth with fine toothiness. Pencils work okay on this surface; it depends on your drawing style and how precise you like your sketches to be. More detailed drawings are helped by the relatively smooth surface.The pages are thin, though they are stiffer/heavier than, say, copy or printer paper. Ink from a fountain pen won’t bleed through. Have I had sketchbooks with thicker paper? Yes, definitely. But either the sketchbook was thicker/heavier too or else there were fewer pages or both.So it depends what you are looking for. For me, I am satisfied by this sketchbook.

I’m one of those people who can never have enough journals or notebooks. I’m forever writing. I’m forever forgetting things so I always have to write things down. These are the perfect size to throw in your bag in the go or make into a functional journal. The pages don’t bleed and I’ve used acrylic al markers on them before with. I use!

Great set of notebooks for any purpose. I got these mostly for journaling and light sketching, the hard cover is great for doing both of these on the go. The design is simple but elegant, ink doesn't bleed through, and I appreciate the elastic band that keeps it shut in my purse. I got them in Green and it they came in this beautiful sage shade - just like in the picture. Lovely!

These notebooks are straight to the point. Minimal. Elegant. Not too busy. The paper has nice weight and it takes ink and dries well. The cover and back are a nice contrast. The binding will def stand up to your back, purse or rucksack.
