Works fine on my 2001 Subaru Forester. The factory one was not starting unless you tapped the fan blade to get it into motion. This one starts as soon as power is applied.I gave it 4 stars as the alignment of the holes at the top for coolant container did not match exactly, kind of required a little of pushing to get things lined up properly.
