The 1 1/2 nut is not a standard size. I messed with this item for a week, visiting several plumbing stores. Order a different OS&B official kit. Don't waste your time here.

Installed the unit into the floor. No problems it's a good value for $85. And it's PVC most people don't realize ABS doesn't work with PVC and in most cases is not code depending on the glue used. Even then I'm not sure if I trust it. We've put several of these freestanding tubs in and something most people aren't aware of.The brass nut is not the standard size for most drain pipes on bathtubs

Bought another rough-in kit from a major manufacturer for more $$$ and it was awful. Returned it immediately. The problem is the distance from the trap to the floor level. The trap is going to take up 4-5 inches from the ceiling below. With 2x10 construction, that leaves less than 6 inches for the drain connections. The IDT5135 rough-in uses approximately 2.5 inches of the distance from the floor to the connection with the trap. See picture. The tub flange inserted into the drain is 1.5 inches chromed brass. The IDT5135 will work with both 1.5 and 2.0 inch waste pipe and trap. My pipe and trap were 1.5 inches and the IDT5135 included the necessary adapter to transition from 2 inch to 1.5 inch. The width of the required floor opening is wide at 6.5 inches. See picture. Make sure that your floor joists do not interfere with the size of the hole required at 6.5 inches. This is a better designed drain for a free standing/island tub than what I have seen as alternatives. Good luck on your installation.

The 2”-1 1/2” reducer fitting was cupped and not a proper fit. I suggest go to the local hardware store and buy a proper one
