The coil seems to function ok, but it is slightly larger than the OEM. The coil therefore interferes with the plastic air vane that is part of the Briggs & Stratton auto choke system. This required that I remove a small corner of the plastic air vane to enable it to open properly when the engine is started. This was no big deal with my Dremel, but thought other buyers should know.

Yesterday, my old Toro Recycler 2 mower would not start, no spark. I ordered this coil last night, and it arrived today, and now my mover is back up and running. Finding parts for anything with a small engine can be daunting. So see the pictures of my model and serial number with the hopes it helps somebody find their part. The part number was, 590454.

This didn't quite match up with the mower I ordered it for, but I had another where it fit just fine. A mower that is hard to find in stores AnymoreTested about about 2.4k ohms, which means it should run the machine quite well. It did.20 year old mower, small and easy to handle. Thought the valves went bad and the engine was dead, but with this coil it fired right up. The included spark plug was a nice inclusion. Good value. 5 stars because it got the job done.
