Measure your existing belt from the end of the buckle to the hole you are currently using. This is your belt size. Galco belts are available in even sizes only, so you may need to round up to the nearest size. If you will be wearing a holster and/or magazine carrier inside the pants, you may need to add 2 more inches.

I've been carrying for the last twelve years off and on and the last five or six years very consistently (i.e.: pretty much every day, every where). I've been using a nylon belt for all of that time but I just got encouraged by a friend to try this Galco belt. It works every bit as well as the tactical nylon belt and it takes away the "hot spot" that is created by the end of the HDPE liner on the tactical belt. In other words, it's more comfortable! It also looks better too, but I usually have my shirt untucked so you can't see my belt anyway.I'm not getting rid of the nylon belt for two reasons though: 1) the nylon belt is lighter so I will continue to wear it when I need to have weight to an absolute minimum (like when I'm hiking/climbing in the Rockies, etc), 2) the nylon is more resistant to scratching and other marks. I wore the leather belt when I taught a pistol class this past month and I managed to already put a big scratch on the leather belt. This wouldn't have happened with the nylon belt and if you do scratch nylon, who cares? I doesn't look pretty anyway!Time will tell if this belt holds up but it seems to be constructed very well out of great materials. It is impressively thick and ridged, just what you want for carrying a full-sized handgun, while still being comfortable. The sizing was almost right on, but I could have ordered the size 40 too. I'm planning on losing weight anyway so perhaps the 38 will be perfect after all.If you carry a pistol (or other heavy items that cause a normal belt to sag or roll up) on your belt then you should strongly consider this belt.
