I had absolutely no experience stringing before buying this machine. Been very happy with the results so far after stringing a number of racquets. I found youtube to be very helpful in a few of the techniques especially knots. The setup feels very stable when stringing and haven't had any slip or pulling with the clamps. Don't know exactly about the accuracy of the tension but I can say that I've mixed up my self strung racquets with my club strung racquets and I don't notice a difference in play. Just know that the first time you string a racquet yourself it will take some time. You will get faster as you string more racquets. I also took a phone pic of my string pattern and knots on my racquet before I cut the old strings out. It does help as a bit of insurance. As someone who just strings his own racquets (and a few friends) the drop weight is fine for me. I'm sure the other systems might be faster but for the volume I do this is great.

My first racket takes me 3,5 hours to string, but the result is good. I like it.

I just bought the x-6 FC and I have strung 6 badminton rackets with it and it works very well. The first racket took well over 3 hours because I did not know what I was doing but other rackets I could do them in 90 minutes or so depending if it was a new pattern or not. I suspect realistically it will take me about 1 hour per racquet once I develop my skills. The drop wt is very accurate as I compared it to a separate calibration scale. The clamps work perfectly and it was easy to set up. The accessories were also very helpful. I am ordering a starting clamp for strings that may be a bit shorter (use the starting clamp to extend the shorter strings), additional badminton grommets, and of course string. It is slower because of the drop wt system but I feel that I am doing a very good and through job with the stringer. I can see myself using this for personal use and for stringing rackets for fellow club members. If I wanted to make money on stringing I would purchase a faster stringer but I'm very happy with the quality work I can do with this product. I can see my children taking the machine and making money for themselves in the future. As a hobbyist this is a great product that will get you good results if you take the time and watch some quality videos on how to string. FYI - I was super happy with how fast I received this product during the busy Christmas rush (3-4 days).

good stringing machine for the price, comes with all the necessary tools. My friend suggested this one instead of floating clamps, and he was spot on with that suggestion. If you play often, break strings often, and don't want to pay $30+ per stringing, this is the way to go.

Easy to use, after stringing second time, I think the quality was good enough than outside. hahahaha

This stringer has the ease and reliability that the drop weight system provides along with the 6 point mounting and fixed clamps. It is truly one of a kind on the market. I have not found many others that give the 6 point, fixed clamp feature in a practical, inexpensive drop weight system. I have strung several racket and really like how this works. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great value in a stringer.

I have been using this machine for over a year and half now, at a frequency about 2 rackets a month. I strung badminton rackets only. It works perfect, even with high tension (>= 27lb). The suspension system firmly holds the racket. The base is plastic, but is steady enough. One thing I regret is that I forgot to ask for badminton clamps. But that is my fault. However, using a fly clamp for crossing is quite acceptable.Overall, solid machine, suitable for personal use.

I have been looking at this product for two or three years and when I finally get it they have cheap plastic clamps... I wonder what else might have been replaced for a cheaper model? I would say buyer beware.

I chose this stringer for 2 main reasons. I wanted fixed clamps, not flying clamps. I wanted 6 point contact not 2. It satisfied those requirements. Very sturdy product. The drop weight bar works well. My only complaint is that the fixed clamps are a little stiff to move at times and I think I will need to fine tune one of them which I don't know how to do yet. Also, this thing is heavy. Don't put it on an antique table. Also advice to beginners: stringing racquets is not easy so give yourself lots of time and tries. Study the videos on YouTube. I made many mistakes in the beginning--bad mistakes-- but finally finally got efficient and my last string job was really really good. Love hitting with my own Babolat w 1-piece polyster string.

Assembly took about 30 minutes, was pretty easy to do. I've done about 10 string jobs on it so far, and it works fine. I wouldn't describe it as rock-solid, the racket table leans a little when you drop the weight. That doesn't affect the tension, so it's not a big concern. The fixed clamps are pretty solid. It's pretty easy to use. Obviously a drop weight is a little more work than an electric, but it's not bad once you get the hang of it. The price seems a little high for what it is, but you can't really find anything with the same features for less. Overall, a pretty good product.
