I ordered this $14 Yelun GHT 90° brass 3/4-inch garden-hose elbow (Amazon ASIN B0DTJY3PXB) because I have an RV plumbing job which requires a direction change. When the 90° brass elbow arrived, I was amazed. Shocked, actually. I even had to step back for a moment when I opened the box. It's fantastic quality. Like it used to be in the olden days. It's almost like jewelry. I love holding it in my hands, it's that well made.I'm serious. At 2-inches from the center on the male end, and at 1 1/2 inches long on the female end, this 90° brass elbow weighed out at 177 grams (6.2 ounces) of pure cast and machined brass on my kitchen scale. It's solid. With five full machined garden hose threads (GHT) on each end.Overall, this is made the way they used to make things in the olden days, assembled from essentially 6 major components, namely:1. A solid 90° brass elbow with machined male threads.2. A solid hex head, which spins, with machined female threads.3. A solid brass knob to control the water flow.4. A solid steel Allen key bolt holding the knob in securely.5. A solid 304 stainless steel internal ball valve for on/off flow.6. A thick rubber hose washer (for the female GHT end). Those six things are so well put together, it seems as if it's hewn out of a single block of brass. This thing is solid. I wish I could give it more than five stars - it's that well made. By way of comparison of what's out there, if you search the box stores, you'll find what seems like similar elbows, right? They're even a similar price. But look closely at the differences. Count the number of machined threads, for example. The box store GHT elbows have fewer threads. And the box store female end is press-fit with tabs instead of being a solid hex head. Even the lock screw and twist knob on the box store GHT 90-degree brass elbows are smaller. They tried to save on brass for the box store elbows. But this Yelun brand did not chintz out on the brass. It's solid.About the only thing I can say negative about this brass elbow is that the Amazon listing claimed it was 7 ounces, but I weighed it at 177 grams, which is about 6.2 ounces. Other than that, this brass elbow is perfect. As a thoughtful extra, the 90° brass garden-hose elbow came with an extra hose washer and a small roll of Teflon tape. But what I love most about this 90° brass garden-hose elbow is that using it made me feel like things were made like they used to make them, in the olden days of solid brass. I love it. In explaining all of this, I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision.

My RV has a plastic hose adapter for the freshwater hookup inlet, and it is easy to accidentally cross-thread the metal hose on the plastic threads. This solid brass elbow allows me to eliminate the need for attaching metal to plastic every time I hook up to water. I permanently attached the male end of the elbow to the RV and leave it attached. I added a flex adapter to the female end and now I can attach the potable water supply without worrying about the plastic threads. The ball type valve is an extra bonus allowing me to shut off the water supply at the RV end. It also helps to keep the inlet screen clean since the elbow covers the screen which was previously exposed to the outdoors. The inside diameter is as big as the supply hose, so it doesn't reduce the water flow. This is a great addition.

This cast brass hose adaptor is definitely a first-world problem solver. Call me OCD, but I like my hoses to run in the optimum direction to avoid creating trip hazards. I also like the displays on my automated sprinkler controllers to be oriented for maximum visibility. Those two goals are often mutually exclusive. Now, thanks to this quality 90ª elbow attachement, I can have both! Correctly oriented displays and hoses that exit at the optimum angle to avoid awkward stick-out trip hazards. The device itself is unremarkable. Two hose bibs, one male, one female, on either end of a brass alloy casting. The device featureas a 1/4 turn flow control valve that is only modestly restrictive to flows. I wouldn't want this on a pressure washer supply line, but for sprinklers it is exceptionally handy. The part tolerances are good - the hose bibs are correct dimension, and gaskets are included (plus rather inexplicably teflon tape? What the heck?)Anyway, a nice luxury part to solve a first world problem. I liked them so much I got two of them.Five stars, no issues - scratches the OCD itch, gets the hoses pointed the right direction, and offers some flow control options. What's not to like?

Simple mechanical device, but it makes a big difference in the level of stress it places on the port. Works well.

I am no plumber, but this looks to be a fine piece of brass plumbing hardware. I see some brass manufacturing filings present on the interior, but just a few. Running water should wash those out quickly. It's for garden hose use, in any case. The ball valve seals are tight, but the valve moves freely. Hoses should all come with such a ball valve shut off.

I have attached this is the spigot on the wall at my community garden. The spigot has always been difficult to attach a garden hose to. I've been looking for a solution for a couple of years and have tried a few different products. This garden hose elbow with the shut off valve works perfectly. I'm glad that this small fix will drastically improve this garden season. The garden hose elbow doesn't leak (I did use the included plumbing tape and some more that I had already at home to ensure that there wouldn't be any leaks.) and is an excellent value. The shut off valve will also us to make sure we aren't wasting water.
