This appeared to be a perfect fix for my Honda mower; my pull starter was very worn and skipping at times, and the filter needed to be replaced and one clip on the filter door was broken. I removed the three nuts on my old starter, and put this one in place - and it wouldn't fit. The three holes were too small to go over the bushings in the shroud. The other dimensions of the starter were the same, so I drilled out (enlarged) the mounting holes to match my old starter and it did fit then. One problem down. I installed the new air filter housing, and it kept popping open - it wouldn't stay shut. I examined it and found that the barbed clips on the door angled down - away from the latch - so they did not snap in place. Using a heat gun, I heated each tab on the door and bent is slightly upward so the barb would snap in place. This worked, and I started the mower and cut the yard with no more issues. Even though I was able to get this set to work; I certainly shouldn't have had to do so. I got the parts for a quick and easy replacement; not another project, and would not recommend this until the issues are corrected.

Exactly what I needed for my 20 year old Honda HRT216. I needed the housing for the air filter after the one side of the double clip became weakened over time. It kept popping off which allowed the air filter to fall out. Glad that I could find it!
