Our old front loader had a terrible squeak while running. You could hear it everywhere in the house with every door closed. Took it apart and the felt and Teflon runners were gone.They call this part the top bearing but its not really a bearing, at least not how I think of one. It is a bearing surface. Just a curved piece of plastic with felt pads the drum rests and spins on. When the felt gets worn away you get metal on hard plastic and a terrible squeak.Part fit just right and hopefully dryer is good for another 12 years.
