Got a hole in my tent. The bugs knew about the hole. They exploited the weaknesses with the vengeance of a disgruntled former lover! If it weren't for this gear repair tape I would have lost the battle and succumbed to the torture of the little devil insects. However, this gear tape saved the day and defeated those little demons. No more rip in the tent or hole for them to launch their attack from then unholy world from whence they came.I used the rest of the product to patch up my sleeping bag, which had been hemorrhaging its feathers like a sugar daddy hemorrhages money at a strip club. No more feathers escaping and my sleeping bag retains more fluff than this review.Point is: buy this repair tape. It could save your life and your sleep.

Really simple to use, and can be done by one person.Like the fact the adhesive is only on the edge, so air flow is still maintained as much as possible.Other repair kits seem to end up basically being clear duct tape.Shame the patches are available in bigger sizes, or different shapes.Adding a patch on front and back really feels pretty permanent. From the picture, I was repairing two parallel dog scratches in the mesh. The bigger one was too big for one patch, so had to overlap. Didn't have enough patches to cover the back of the big tear, but one side still feels pretty solid. I will be ordering more to finish the job.For reference, the patches are 3" diameter including adhesive. The inner mesh area is just under 2". Bear that in mind for any repair. Damage under 2", one pair of patches would be fine. More than that and you might need to double up.Also, I think you would always want to double up, otherwise there's the risk the damaged bit will just catch on something, and tear again.Definitely a cleaner repair, than a plain mesh sheet, and blobbing glue all over the place.

What an awesome product. Had these on hand for my last camp trip and they worked perfectly. Got a second hand tent that needed fixing and came in clutch.

I accidentally tore a hole in the mesh top of my tent and this did the trick to mend it.

I purchased these patches after my cousin's daughter poked a stick through one of the screens of the side window of my rooftop tent. As the description states, the pack comes with two patches, which were large enough to patch a 1 to 2-inch tear/hole. Technically, you only need one patch per hole, but based on the recommendation on the back of the package, I used one patch on either side of the hole to provide extra strength. As soon as I installed the patch, I walked back into the house to order two more kits in case of another mishap. I highly recommend keeping at least one of these patch kits in your camping supply bag in case of a screen tear.

This mesh adhesive patch does exactly what it was intended to do. It has exceeded my expectations as far as adhesion goes. I purchased it to patch a hole in a tent screen. I patched it nearly 2 years ago and it still is on today after many rainy nights. I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it for repairing a tent screen or other "no see em" meshBe patient when removing the patch from it's backing. This will take some time as it does not release easily. When applying the patch while the tent was erected, I had my daughter on one side of the screen holding a stiff piece of cardboard against the screen so that I could ensure that the patch would be flat against the screen and adhere with no wrinkles as well as giving me something to put pressure on for a good clean application. This method worked well as the patch it still in place and doings it's job 2 years later.

Appreciated how fast they turned up, and the price was very acceptable. Used the mesh patches on a hole in the mesh on my tent, created by a white-tailed rat who desperately wanted something edible inside. The patches did the job although they look fairly ordinary as the sticky paper surround was very wide and rough. Still, it'll keep out the bugs and mosquitoes, so that's a good thing!

This item works well and the the application was straightforward. However, the outer periphery of these patches are not black in color, but of a lighter color. So after you stick this on your desired location, the patch stands out, because of the different color on the periphery. The repair thus does not look seamless, but rather it looks as if you stuck a circle on the item to be repaired. Not sure why they could just have made it either transparent or black?
