I switched jobs recently and was looking for a thin undershirt to make wearing a poly uniform shirt much more comfortable. I spent about two weeks looking through every inexpensive brand of crew style undershirts, including ones from the bigger brands. Even after reading some less than appealing reviews, I settled on Gildan brand, as they came in packs with the best value versus other brands. I had initially settled on the regular cotton crew, but those suddenly went out of stock. I did another search, then found the Platinum cotton crew T-shirts.It took a few days and they came packed in a sealed package, all 5 shirts. I tried on 3/5 on the first day and I've just recently tried on the 4th shirt and the size is accurate in each one. I always wash my clothes in cold, and I hang dry and the shirts held up well with no shrinkage like some had reported. They fit just as soft, just as roomy as when I first unpacked them. I'm a 5'6, well curved female and I typically will buy men's 2Xl shirts for roominess and comfort. Depending on the make or brand they'll either fit to form, or fit loose. These in my opinion fit as a 2XL in men's should on a woman my size; loose, but not baggy and comfortable as well as very breathable.I've only had one issue with these shirts, and it was only on one. The underarm came slightly unraveled in maybe a 3 inch section. It was easy to fix and no other threads came undone. Personally, for shirts as inexpensive as these, needing to sew a 3 inch section of ONE sleeve isn't at all a problem. Besides that one issue, I've been putting these through a lot of work, heavy lifting, and leaning up against sharp things (as well as holding a wriggly cat) and no other rips or loose threads have popped up.So, long review short- I would definitely recommend these and may also buy them again. They fit great, they feel great, and at the end of a long work day, they're very comfortable and help to keep me cool. Also, on top of being AMAZING undershirts, these are fantastic for lounging around the house.

Mi esposo las ha utilizado ya por un buen tiempo y le han agradado mucho. No han perdido forma ni color y no son delicadas para su cuidado. Lo que le gustó:- Tienen un largo adecuado, se fajan bien y no se zafan- No son ni gruesas ni delgadas por lo que son perfectas para cualquier tipo de ropa.- Tienen buenos acabados en las costuras.Deben considerar que no son justas, no se pegan al cuerpo, esto ya es gusto personal y a mi esposo le agradan así. Le gustaron mucho y cuando sea necesario definitivamente volverá a comprarlas.

Las compre por que estaban a precio aceptable y necesitaba unas playeras, debo decir que no estan para nada mal, son agradables, algo delgadas pero no transparentes pero sobre todo comodas, si vendieran paquetes con otros colores ciertamente las compraria (y cuando sea necesario las volvere a comprar)

I have never been a huge fan of Gildan tee shirts given the ones I have seen for sale in Ottawa where I live seem to be of a lower quality and price. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this package of tee shirts arrived. The fit is perfect. However, I say that with the caveat that I am waiting to see if they will still fit properly after a few warm washes.The other thing that impressed me was the soft, almost "polished" feel of the cotton. This suggests a garment of a higher quality than the normal run of tee shirt. The stitching along the shoulder line on each side of the shirt as well as around the neck is very nicely done. This also suggests a higher quality garment as well as assuring a really nice finish. I might add that the cotton is neither too light, nor too heavy, so I'd guess they could be worn comfortably either as an undershirt or just by themselves.I have always had a problem with sagging necks on tee shirts as they age. I prefer a tighter fit around the neck and only my higher priced tees seem to be able to meet this desired fitment over time. Whether or not these Gildans will do so remains to be seen. For now, they exhibit no sag, but again, the proof will be after a few warm washes.For the price, these "Platinum" Gildan shirts seem to be a pretty good buy.

I get it -- you want a decent t-shirt without paying top dollar. Or worse, buying a real cheapo that sounds like a deal but wears/looks like a hobo rag. This t-shirt is for you.The medium seemed to be true to size out of the package but I was skeptical about how it would look/feel after washing. ADVICE -- wash it on cold (at least the first time) and dry low. The t's came out like a gem, very minimal shrinkage and were actually softer (some t-shirts seem super soft when new, then they're like sandpaper after washing).As some reviewers have mentioned, the sleeves are shorter (I prefer this, and hate long "grandpa" sleeves) and the neck fits trim, not tight. Length is good, but not super long if you want tuck-ins. We'll see how they hold up but very satisfied for price. I'm 6 feet, 170lbs and medium fits great. Trim but not tight.Only ding against the t-shirt is that it is slightly thin material (but not as thin as others).I also wish they had more colors than black/white in the Gildan Platinum.

They fit, they fit; they actually fit! "As expressed in correct sizing on the website." VERY RARE, something is the size that it says!!I feel like this slipped through the " Make sure, the size advertised is at minimum three sized smaller Checker" And stop offering actual sizes that are the actual sizes of the customer; make sure no clothing fits if you are living in the United States." Tat checker was sleeping as well.I have been professionally measured two months ago and my sizes haven't changed more than 1/2 inch in the waist and my neck hasn't increased at all in 25 years. Yet I cant find a casual shirt or a single pair of slacks that are size labeled even close to the correct size; and no one manufacturer has "any CONSISTENCY whatsoever," "from one color of clothing item to another. They have at the factories in Taiwan, India, Korea, China. Decided Americans are at least three sizes smaller than they actually are. Additionally, one can buy two shirts identical except color in shirts and slacks. One will barely fit according to your actual tape measurements, You are just unable to breath or bend over. The other one will not be able to be put on your body. All supposed to be the same size. "YOUR SIZE that you selected" Then if you try to order according to their sizes, say three sizes lager than you actually are; They don't make anything that large. So her you are, a 60 year old male american, with a 36' waste and 36' inseam and you wear a sizes 42 shirt with a 7 inch neck and long sleeves. If you dress what they send you, you are unable to leave home or eat or breath. WTF!
