Product Description

GlowShift’s GM Duramax Allison 1000 Transmission Test Port Adapter allows you to easily install a 1/8-27 NPT temperature sensor to the test port of your 2000-2018 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra diesel truck. Before this adapter, the only way to gain access to read the temperature of the transmission fluid was to cut the transmission cooler feed line and install a t-fitting adapter. Now, you can access those same temperature readings while dramatically cutting down on installation time. An O-ring is attached to the male thread of the adapter that prevents transmission fluid leaks at the test port connection. This sensor thread adapter is manufactured from high-quality steel with a yellow, zinc coating and is built to last like your 6.6L Duramax truck. GlowShift includes installation instructions and free lifetime tech support with each purchase.

Quick Install
With a few simple steps you’ll be able to install this Transmission Test Port Adapter along with a temperature sensor to a GM 6.6L Duramax Allison 1000 Transmission.
Remove Factory Plug
Locate and remove the factory plug from the bell housing, located next to the spin-on transmission filter, using a 15mm wrench.
Thread Sensor into Adapter
Wrap Teflon tape around the threads of the temperature sensor and thread into the Test Port Adapter. Tighten to no more than 12 ft/lb.
Thread into Test Port
Thread the adapter and sensor into the test port and tighten to 10 ft/lb, making sure not to overtighten.
