Got our hay feeder today and was excited to put it together and get it in the goat pen. What I wasn't excited about was the difficulty in putting it together. It should have been simple, however the screw holes on the frame did not line up correctly with the holes on the tray. We had to drill new holes to get this thing together. It was a lot more work than expected. The feeder itself seems pretty good. I'll review again in a few weeks, after I see how it holds up to goats.

This feeder is all metal construction and is solid. Assembly process didn't take long and the instructions were simple to follow. Its pretty large with a large capacity bin.

I have been wanting a feeder like this for quite some time! It pays for itself in saved hay! And with hay prices going up, it is 100% worthwhile. As expected, it catches the hay dropped by my goats and prevents it from falling on the floor and getting contaminated. It greatly reduces waste! Our goats usually drop about 1/3 of their hay, and the tray saves all of that from going to waste!

This actually works super well! Want to get it all put together in assembled it is very sturdy and heavy duty. I can tell this will easily last for years and years to come without giving out. It comes with all the pieces and Hardware you need to get it fully assembled and ready to use. It came well packed with no damage to anything. The manual that it comes with is easy to read so getting it fully assembled took no time! I love that this has the tray on the bottom this has already been a game changer for making sure that our goats don't spill all their hay on the ground and put it to waste. This way you can reuse a ton of it and it catches all of that that they drop right off the bat. If you're thinking about it definitely don't hesitate. It is actually worth every penny and will save you a ton in Hay waste. Solid 10/10

This is a nice, sturdy feeder that is perfect for goats. My goats love it. The first one that was sent was bent so badly that it was impossible to make it work. On top of that, it was missing all of the hardware to put it together and the instructions. Luckily the return was accepted and another was sent out. This one was bent some, but not so much that I couldn't make it work. This one had all of the hardware. It was hard to get some of the bolts to line up but in the end it worked out. This is a very heavy item that isn't easy for goats to flip and can withstand some climbing. Good product but packaging and shipping need some fine tuning.

This is an awesome dual-purpose feeder. You can do grains and hay and the same time. I like the use of wire for hay. I’ve had some that used stainless steel sheet metal, and I wasn’t a big fan because it keeps in moisture. This is a decent size for several goats at a time. The powder coating and galvanization is good. The only critical thing I would say about it is that I don’t think it is currently competitively priced. Outside of that I think it’s a good product.

***Update. Just dropped a star and word of caution if you have goats with horns. Just found one of my my Nigerian dwarf does out in the snow with her head stuck in the hay feeder.The spacing of the wires for the feeder are too big & horns can get them stuck if they put their head through to get to the "best" hay not in easy reach. We are going to weld cattle fencing to the wire panels to keep it from happening again. If you have polled goats or sheep or mega horns, it shouldn't be a problem.Okay, I do like this feeder & feel for the price it's a good purchase.. However, these dents to the tray were after being with my Nigerian Dwarf Goats for a day. I feel the hay feeder portion will hold up but not they tray. If you have sheep or mini horses that don't climb all over everything you should be fine but goats love to get into anything they can. I purchased a hay feeder from tractor supply that had held up to their demands but it was $100 more. Again, I'm still happy with the purchase but want to give the heads up to owners of mischievous goats.
