I hate this thing.I went through THREE DIFFERENT BRANDS/TYPES of AA batteries...because it rejected the first two. Those batteries were full and work JUST DANDY on other devices INCLUDING OTHER GODOX FLASHES like the TT650 series.A note - this thing has a proprietary flash trigger, so it will NOT WORK with your tradition X series FT transmitters that are more popular with a menu screen. You could do S1 optical mode - which mostly works, but the lens / sensor will have to have a direct line of sight to the master flash...not good if you put diffusion on your flashes or have it facing the wrong angle. The included transmitter works and they say it does 16 channels but none simultaneously - you have to look up in the manual and do a VERY CRYPTIC maneuvering of the four switches on the transmitter and flash receiver to match...very 1980s budget style...but I'm in my forties and remember old...those were better than this.Overall this is one of those $20 optical flashes that are MANUAL only except in the shell of a $50 flash that you have to GAMBLE on if it will accept the AA battery and is more troublesome to use. I used NIMH as recommended...rejected those. The price reflects the included trigger...but not worth it...get a real trigger or just get a better flash and use optically if you need a trigger. What kills me is Godox has a flash in the 600 series that WORKS WITH ANY AA BATTERY - including the ones this flash rejected and accepts Godox's mainstream triggers lasts longer with more power...retailing at a mere 15 bucks more...GET THAT INSTEAD.
