This Grease Container is really nice. I've used others in the past, so I'll highlight some things that make this one stand out. The strainer is removable, making it easy to clean. The strainer is too large to accidentally fall into the grease. This grease container is narrower than my others, with a smaller diameter, which allows it to fit on my refrigerator door instead of my top shelf! I use this for storing bacon grease, and it's working well. I don't get any weird metallic flavors or chemicals. It's easy to clean. If I had to complain, it's a bit thin and flimsy; mine was pre-dented during shipping, but it does not affect functionality. It's really not a showpiece for me anyway.

This is a nice little container for bacon grease. 1 liter. It has a strainer holder and a snug lid. Put the strainer piece on, pour in your pan leavings. Or set fried foods on it to drip. The grease will drip through the fine holes, leaving the larger chunks behind. (Put those on bread!) Then put the lid on, and either put it in the fridge, or leave it on the counter. Either way, you now have bacon grease for cooking, flavoring dry pet food, whatever. This does have a handle and a tiny pour spout opposite. It says it's stainless steel. It could be. If italuminum, it's on the heavy side. Either way, for the price - and now a coupon - every cook should have one of these simple little helpers.

The grease cup has an steel oil strainer that goes between the lid and the cup itself. You can also just put the lid on the cup for a tighter fit. The oil strainer has the perfect size holes for straining something like bacon oil into the can. It separates the larger particles very well and results in a more cleaner oil with less sediments. Can itself is a little small, but not too small. Good size really for what its used for. Stainless steel is ok quality. Not super thick but how thick does it really need to be? It is easy to clean.Would recommend this at this price at just under 7 bucks. Will last a long time.

First photo shows U.S. Dollar Bill for sizing comparison. This is a lightweight 3-piece set (empty weight of 3.5oz – 128g on my digital scale) for filtering and storing bacon grease after cooking. Second photo shows the fine mesh size of the loose fit strainer device (holes are too small in my estimation, and this negatively affects ability to quickly pour heated grease into the device). U.S. measure liquid storage capacity is approximately 3 cups with strainer insert in place above contents. There is a very slight pour spout indention stamped into the outer edge of main container body with a handle spot welded on the opposite side to assist transfer of liquid grease into a different container. I do like that handle allows for (cautious) handling even after hot grease has been added. Item description indicates Stainless Steel composition, and it’s marked SUS304, but item heavily attracts a magnet, so it must be a lower grade Stainless. Third photo shows outer wall of item was slightly dented below pour spout, but it did not affect liquid grease storage integrity, and I consider this device to be more utilitarian than decorative.I hope you found my comments and photos beneficial in your item considerations; thanks for checking!

I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I'm very excited to later this week. I recently read about saving bacon grease for future cooking but wasn't sure how to go about it. I was originally going to try the method which uses a cheesecloth to drain the grease and keeps the small bacon bits out of the stored grease but then I came across this lil device. It has the strainer already included which is a plus, and it looks like it would catch all if not most of the bits of leftover bacon. It's a simple design of 3 pieces and seems very easy to use; just pour the grease on the mug with the strainer in place and then you can pour from the mug into your container of choice (I plan on using a Mason jar). It's very lightweight while also having a LOT of room for liquid inside. For my purposes of using it with bacon grease I can't imagine I'll ever fill it up all the way, or even a quarter of the way, but this would also be good for larger amounts of cooking oil. I'm hoping it is easy to wipe down and clean; it's been my experience so far with other stainless steel items that that is fairly easy, especially with a bit of Dawn. I'm looking forward to using this many times in the future.

While it serves it’s purpose, this container is made of lower grade thin gauge stainless steel. The strainer is especially thin and I wouldn’t be surprised if the little handle on it breaks sooner rather than later. Being stainless steel with such a thin bottom, it will need to be set on something heat resistant if pouring hot grease or oil into it. Also, the top of container has a small pouring lip, so the lid in no way seals tightly, so gnats can fly inside and contaminate the oil if not transferred to a sealed container. I will probably just cover with a piece of foil to seal somewhat. The good is that the strainer is fairly fine and should filter the oil fairly well and could be lined with cheesecloth for a finer filter.

This bacon grease container and strainer is constructed from a very lightweight stainless steel. It has a pleasant, neat and clean appearance. The lid covers the container well so the grease is not exposed to the air. The mesh strainer is effective at removing fine particles and fully covers the opening or mouth of the container. It is easy to use, clean, and effectively removes food particles from grease. The quality is reasonable for the price, and it appears durable. It would be a good value, but for, the fact that I could not find any statements in the online description that the stainless steel used is food grade. Hence the reason for 1 star.
