I really like this wood scraper because it is light weight and easy to use. It is super simple to burn the grooves in. Just get your grill hot, around 500 degrees, and then scrape it back and fourth until the grooves start to show. This wood scraper is much safer than using a wire brush, and lasts longer as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the handle is not as smooth as I would like. I will probably end up sanding it or wrapping it with duct tape or something.

I love these wooden paddle style grill cleaners. If you didn't know, the metal bristle brushes are a hazard and shouldn't be used. These wooden ones are excellent. I love that the grates burn into the wood, so it cleans between the grates too. This one worked exactly as I expected it to and was a great price too. I'll definitely come back to this one when it's time to replace it.

I've owned a couple of these and they are fantastic. I highly reccomend these for grill cleaning. One of the safe ways to clean a grill.

A few years ago I went to a neighbor’s home for a BBQ. I bit down on a burger and felt a sharp pain in my tongue. Someone checked and found a piece of wire brush from a cleaning tool embedded in my tongue. Fortunately, I didn’t swallow the wire. Wood works really well to clean a grill and avoids this problem. The scraper is a good design that is easy to hold and grip firmly together remove stubborn caked on goo.

So much better than having tiny slivers of metal in my food! This is wonderful! I did not thinnk it was going to do a great job at scraping the grates, but it did.
