These GymBrave shorts earn a respectable four stars. They’re highly functional for workouts – lightweight, quick-drying, entirely practical. They perform, certainly. However, they don't quite offer that unique design edge or a truly premium feel. Solid for their intended purpose, but don't expect a style revelation. Maybe on the slim fit side, with some good stretch.

When I ripped open the GymBrave package, the sage green just popped. It wasn't dull green; it had this incredible, almost earthy vibe. And honestly, you could tell the fabric was good stuff. Okay, fellas, listen up! I'm a 6-foot, 240-pound guy with what I lovingly call a "dad bod," so finding workout shorts that fit and feel good can be a challenge. I took a chance on these GymBrave 5-inch running shorts in XXL (blue), and I'm seriously impressed. For reference, I've got a 47-inch chest and a 44-inch waist.The material is nice and slick, mostly polyester, and the stitching is solid. They've got little slits on the sides, which I like, and some breathable mesh paneling on the back for extra airflow – a lifesaver during sweaty workouts. These shorts are super cool and comfortable, even in the heat. The blue color is awesome, a kind of steely blue, and the gray reflective strips on the sides are a great safety feature for nighttime walks or runs. And the best part? They have zippered pockets! Perfect for holding my phone, keys, or whatever else I don't want to carry in my hands.The waistband is snug and secure, so no worries about these falling down. They don't have a liner, which some might prefer, some might not. Personally, I'm fine with it. The 5-inch inseam is perfect for me – gives me plenty of freedom to move. I can see myself wearing these for anything from gym workouts and running to walking and even tennis.Seriously, guys, these shorts are fantastic. They're as good, if not better, than anything I've seen in department stores. Great quality, great fit, great price, and zippered pockets! Do yourself a favor and grab a pair before they're gone – your legs (and your stuff) will thank you!

My husband is mostly all height from the waist up. Therefore, he does not really look as nice in 7" or longer shorts. I got these to try to see what he thought. He loves these shorts and the length is perfect for him. The fabric is a great lightweight, the waistband is comfortable and does not roll, and the zipper pockets are a huge plus.

These athletic shorts are easily one of my favorite pairs right now. The material is super lightweight and dries fast, which makes them perfect for intense or less than intense workouts or even just hot arizona summer days. I appreciate the zippered pockets the most. I like that I can stash my phone or keys without worrying about them falling out during my workout. The shorts fit well with a secure elastic waistband and drawstring, and the fabric moves without ever feeling too restrictive. My only quibble is that the sizing felt a bit small for me, but otherwise a sharp looking pair of gym shorts
