I bought this for my husband to wear under his uniform at work, as he works outside in the winter. It fit him well, but the rear was a bit tight.

The suit runs small & I would like to order a 2x. There are no instructions as to how to return the product.

naturally, I'm wearing this union suit as i write this. I'm very glad i purchased this. As a deluded young adult i like to think i look pretty dashing union suit of yesteryear made famous by uncouth, hicks, and single toothed bearded mountain men perched on their rickety porches playing banjo and warning them outsiders to "Not go inta dem mountains dere"this union suit is fantastic. if the cold is your enemy, and you have an inclination for warmth, practicality, and comfort then you need to get you one of these right here and for God sakes "don't go into them mountains"

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. The material is a waffle material; not a thick waffle but a really thin one. Makes it perfect for layering. It fits perfectly but he does have one complaint: the butt-flat because it's not a flap. It's a slit in the fabric with a button. He has other union suits and all have the slit, but on this brand the slit is problematic. On this suit every time he wears it the slit opens and it gets breezy in there. The slit doesn't open because the button won't stay but because the slit is too "baggy". It's as if the button was misplaced or there is not enough overlapping material. He doesn't find the button aggravating or the fact in general that it opens up aggravating, just that it does let in the cold air. He still wears it in the winter and loves how toasty it is.

Fits like a cozy body glove and keeps me very warm. My girl thinks I look sexy in it too!

I work outdoors for a living, and it is particularly cold this winter. I typically wear thermal bottoms and a thermal shirt as underwear. I thought I would kick it old school and try a union suit. So far, I am completely not impressed. The fabric of this particular union suit does not hold heat nearly as well as my other thermals. I noticed a significant difference, and I do not stay warm while wearing these outdoors. The butt-flap is incredibly difficult - the button/button hole are both very small. Without being too crass or descriptive: I save more time by unbuttoning the union suit entirely and dropping trou, than I do using the butt-flap. So far, this particular union suit is more inconvenient than functional.

I don't wear long underwear. I bought this (and a second one for my wife) for a family Christmas portrait. However, I will say that it fit fairly well. I have an athletic build and found that the midsection was a little looser than I was expecting (since the arms and legs fit like a second skin). I guess the average wearer of these is supposed to have more of a beer belly or something. It was very warm (even though I didn't wear anything over it for the portraits, I was still very comfortable) and soft, right out of the package (I wasn't sure how the quilted pattern would feel on my skin). My only complaints are the following: I wish the opening in the butt was the traditional flap that you see on cartoons and I wish the buttons worked better at keeping the gap together - after undoing the button on the butt opening, it had a tendency to open up by itself. So all in all, not too bad. And even if I don't wear long underwear, Hanes has converted my wife. She walks around in hers all the time! And if I'm ever in a situation where I NEED a union suit, this will definitely be the one I reach for.

These are awesome and warm. I got these because I keep the house thermostat set at 55 degrees because I can't afford to pay $4.00 a gallon for heating oil here in Vermont. I work from home and need something to keep me warm all day as I work on the computer. These do the job well and do not affect my range of motion while I am punching away at the keyboard which is very important. I would highly recommend these for anyone for any project or task needing to be done and kept warm. Although I would recommend getting a size larger than you need as I did and it worked out perfectly.
