Lasted one year and now the milivolt reading is less than 400. :-( Annoyed paying this much for 1 year of use.

Ran this pilot for only 2 starts and removed the next day as the voltage was not high enough to even jump start the gas valve on the 3rd try. When removed the pilot cover at the pilot/thermopile end was all sooted up. I had noted the flame seemed brighter than the OEM pilot and was expecting to maintain a pretty good voltage, but the orifice seems much bigger and the soot was the giveaway when I took it apart and checked. I saved the thermopile for future use as it’s usually the weak link in the millivolt heater controls. As it turned out this time the heater thermostat was the real problem with a 4 ohm resistance and I could have avoided buying this pilot assembly, put the ‘original’ back in and changed the thermostat, I am back in business for the time being. I have owned this heater for 22 years and it can still fool me, the multimeter gets a workout every spring.
