Will break without issue only.on my boat for 1 season and I take It out theis season and this is what I arrive home to... I do not recommend this to anyone. Says heavy duty but definitely is not

The part was exacy what I ordered but it didn't fit my trailer/boat. I had to return it and order a different designed part. I'm an engineer and a side view schematic with critical dimensions would be a good addition to the web site photo.

This was my first experience with installing a winch or a winch stand, so I have nothing to compare it to. First off in searching for a winch stand I noticed that my utility trailer is constructed differently from others I found pictured. Rather than a "tongue" running from the body of the trailer to the coupler, mine has a crossbar. With that in mind I choose the Die-matic, which appeared to be adaptable to my situation. I choose good. The stand's base measures 4" by 5". I turned the base sideways so that the 5" side spanned the the 3" wide crossbar. The 4" U-bolts fit perfectly in this position. The pre-drilled holes for the adjustment bolt are now on the wrong side, but that didn't matter since the height of the unit works fine for me without having to adjust it. I just tighten the bolt a bit and the top part stays put. When not in use I just need to loosen the bolt and remove the top part with winch intact and store it. The top of the stand has 2 pre-drilled holes. I only had to drill one additional hole in order to fit my winch to it. The $25 shipping seemed pretty steep to me; however, after receiving it I changed my mind considering I received it in just 3 days via FedEx and how well it was packed. The box had several layers of packing tape on it and inside the stand was well cushioned with extra cardboard, newspaper and pieces of styrofoam.
