My back screen door has been a thorn in my side ever since the original door closure went south awhile ago. I had been meaning to fix it when I got around to it...which seemingly, was never. As luck would have it I ran across this one while surfing Amazon and decided "the time has come". I ordered it, It arrived in a timely manor and proved to be a cinch to install. The instructions are right on the package so I read them over and decided to mount this to the top of my door rather than to the center divider where my other one had been. One drill bit a Phillips head screwdriver and six screws later it was up and operational. SIMPLE! The adjustments for closure were equally simple and in short order it was a done deal. This is a very nice item with quality written all over it. It works like a charm calming the SLAM to a gentle bam as the door hits the frame. I recommend this product for its good looks, sturdy build and ease of installation. 5 stars all the way for this solid unit.

This was easy enough to install. Instructions were vague, but manageable. This would not pull my door closed, even with no wind.

I'm a 53 year old woman with no construction experience, and just basic DIY knowledge. I was able to install this door closer by myself using a drill and driver. It took *maybe* five minutes tops. The directions are incredibly simple, just 3 steps. Now I don't have to worry about my screen door blowing up against the side of the patio any more! My only suggestion would be to include a template for the holes on the box so we can just rip the template off the box, then use it to drill the pilot holes for the screws. Other than that, this is super easy! If I didn't have an extremely heavy metal security door on my front door I'd put one on there too.

I needed a spring for a large, relatively heavy door after a set of self-closing hinges failed to do the job. This was somewhat easy to put together and install. I've never assembled or installed one before and it took me a minute to figure out, but with the included instructions, managed to get it done. The mounting seems sturdy and solid. The function after install was about what I was expecting, for a typical storm or screen door this should work just perfectly for you. It's easy to adjust too, with either a phillips or straight edge screwdriver bring the adjustment screw out for a faster swing, or in for a slower one. Overall, this is recommended for an easy initial install or replacement!
