This product was delivered promptly and was well packaged. It was fairly easy to install. My face and legs are now spared getting too much sun. It makes my compact John Deere look great.

Bolts were just barely big enough, made assembly more difficult, and missing 2 bolts. Nice solid sturdy canopy, should last a long time.

Overall I made it work. REMEMBER - This is a $225 canopy in either white or John Deere green. $225 not $500 - $750 OEM parts, so filter your expectaions. This required quite a bit of work on my part. But if I want my wife to help brush hog our pastures in the summer . . . My top ROPS bar is thicker than the brackets provided so I had some issues. Width of ROPS is all they tell you in the description, so be aware of the vertical thickness of your upper ROPS bar before ordering this one. If its over 2.25" vertically this won't work without modification. This will be a review and installation tips.PRODUCT DELIVERY: Top a bit less stiff than I hoped, but framework itself seems sturdy and does most of the support work for top. Mine did have a significant crack in the ABS canopy as pictured. Large item not packaged well enough to protect a large piece of ABS plastic. Box must have been dropped on that corner. Not the typical Amazon return process either on this product. Be aware this isn't shipped by Amazon so return process is more difficult. However seller has GOOD customer service. Very responsive. I had cut up the box unpacking and really had no way to send this back. JB Weld works with ABS & since this crack was not in a structural area, I fixed it myself. Seller gave me a small credit, so I have less than $200 in this project. Keep this in mind. Unfortunately I was not sent all the nuts and bolts needed. It's a mixture of stainless and regular mild steel. nuts, bolts & washers. The long 1/4" stainless pieces are for the top & side support brackets. They have lock nuts. The remainder is all mild steel and while the instructions mention lock nuts in other areas, no other lock nuts were provided. Fortunately I have plenty of nuts, bolts and washers on hand. Given the vibration of a tractor in use, I used lock washers on all bolts installed with flat washers on both sides of bolt for framework. Also both sides of anywhere the ABS plastic canopy touched steel the frame. Not enough flat washers provided to do this. I had them available.INSTALLATION: The instructions are brief and lack some detail like photos of finished steps. But basically OK. Better than many I have seen. The ROPS on my JD 1050 is 3" x 2" rectangular tube 1/4" thick. Heavy duty stuff. The important top brackets (2) provided in the kit will only fit on the 2" side of a rectangular upper tube frame of a 2" x 3" ROPS. They are 2.25" wide with vertical tubes welded on to support the roof bracing. The side support brackets provided accommodate 2" x 2" or 2" x 3" ROPS framework. Also 2.25" wide. My upper ROPS cross bar is 2" x 3" but sits with the 3" vertical so the 2 critical upper ROPS brackets 2.25" wide won't fit over upper bar of ROPS. These brackets are critical as they have welded on thin walled tube the important main roof bracket slides into. Those tubes must face forward or rear on the 2" plane . If your ROPS is 2" x 2" tube, no problem. If it's 3" on the vertical axis, it's a no go. I am very handy & was basically stuck with the product, so I notched out my ROPS bar on the bottom 1.75" wide and 3/4" high so those brackets would fit. Easier said than done on 1/4" thick steel. If you haven't the ability to cut notches in your ROPS at exactly the right locations (centered exactly at 10 1/4" apart), don't by this product if your top ROPS bar is 3" on the vertical. My plasma cutter and cut off wheels to the rescue. In hindsight I wouldn't do that again. I'd fabricate new brackets. But be aware of this anomaly if your JD has the older style beefy ROPS 3" on the vertical. This critical fact SHOULD BE IN THE DESCRIPTION as well as the total width measurement they mention.Contrary to another review I saw, I find the framework to be plenty strong to well support the ABS top. That framework does most of the work and the Green ABS top sort of sits on top. Tight fit on top tho and I don't want to over stress the ABS plastic lid. Tractors vibrate and go on rough terrain. Not to mention windy at times. Wind IS NOT going to damage this canopy if care is taken on the frame. I made sure framework was well set, adjusted and then dry fit the canopy. Then went back and tightened everything on the frame but the angled supports toward the front of the canopy. Placed the canopy back on. Fit fine but was very tight width wise at the very front where steel tabs on the frame mount to the front of canopy itself. I was able to bend those tabs in just a bit so it was snug without stressing the ABS canopy. I think I will go back and add rubber washers anywhere where metal makes contact with the ABS. Overall I'm happy with the way it turned out, but it did require some added work, nuts, washers & lots of patience. If you're handy this is a good value and very much worth $225. (PS: They should have an actual user write their instruction manuals)
