About this item

  • WATERPROOF HIKING BOOTS FOR WOMEN - The new 2022 WP Women's Altitude is treated with DRI-TEC, so it has a waterproof, breathable membrane to keep feet dry and water out in wet conditions. Plus, our i-shield technology repels water and dirt, and resists stains.
  • SUPERIOR HI-TEC TECHNOLOGY - Our Ortholite Impressions sock liner with slow recovery foam and impact-absorbing CMEVA midsole deliver superior cushioning. The gusseted tongue keeps debris out, and the rubber toe cap adds reinforcement.
  • ULTIMATE TRACTION AND STABILITY - Our M-D Traction rubber outsole improves grip and durability on variable and rough terrain, and the fork shank ensures flexible but stable movement. The Ghillie lacing system provides an adjustable, snug and secure fit.
  • LEATHER UPPER AND MICROFLEECE LINING - The durable leather upper provides support for long treks. The padded collar and tongue provide extra cushioning, and the micro-fleece moisture-wicking lining creates breathable and long-lasting comfort.
  • VERSATILE ALL SEASON TRAIL SHOES - Our hiking boots move from city to trail as easily as you do, in any weather. The classic neutral colors respect the mountain but are just as comfortable on the street. The shaft is approximately 5" from the arch, the heel is 1.5 " and the platform is 1".

Don't buy!We have been training to do he Milford trail, nothing too crazy mostly 3 hr walks tops (never in overly wet conditions). Boots have already cracked and have holes in them within 3 months of use. The glue is starting to fall a part along with the general integrity of the whole shoe.Ordered on 20th November, didn't arrive until halfway through December and return window closed soon after on 31st January.Very disappointed.

As recommended by others, I ordered up half a size and it fit perfectly. It took a couple wears to get used to the high ankle but that was the point of ordering them. I needed something that supports the ankle and protects against things in the wild. Now they are completely comfortable and I no longer feel the gravel under my feet as I used to with other shoes. The insole is nice and cushiony. The only negative is that they can be hot in the hot summer days but that's to be expected. I'm not a serious hiker and only take our dogs to run in nature so I don't know how they would stand up in a major climbing expedition etc. but for regular hills and gravelly paths, they are perfect. And for the record, I'm a senior

I used to have a pair of HI-TEC hiking boots that I outgrew. It was still in great condition and passed it on to my daughter who has been doing a lot of hiking with them. I knew I wanted the same brand and I am so happy with my purchase. They were comfortable as soon as I put them on. Really no need to break them in. Although of course I would not skip that important step! I’ll be going hiking in Switzerland and I know they will serve me well!

I bought these for an upcoming overseas trip where there will be a lot of walking and probably a fair bit of rain. I have broken them in; they are super comfortable and I have worn them out in our Canadian winter walking the dog in the snow and they were warm, kept my feet dry, and again were very comfortable. I wear a size 7-1/2 to 8 and have a bunion on my right foot and fairly wide feet. I recommend these.

I went to all the local sports stores to try on ankle hiking boots. Regardless of price, none were comfortable. Many years ago I had a pair of Hi-Tec hiking shoes that worked well, so thought I'd give these a try. Good choice! My feet are between a size 7 and 7.5. I bought these in a size 7.5 which turned out to be perfect with hiking socks. These boots have a wide toebed and a low "neck" that doesn't bind my ankles. The sole did well in slippery conditions today. All-in-all, these are very good, very inexpensive, boots.

I’ve had chronic foot pain my whole life, and these are the best hiking boots I’ve ever owned. Although the pain isn’t gone, it is significantly helped by the stiff sole and ankle support.I’ve easily put 1000km on the old pair (same shoe, different colour) in the picture over the last 4 years, and I’m only just having to replace them now. This includes both trail walking and pavement. They are durable and comfortable, and waterproof as advertised (although re-waterproofing them is still necessary as with all similar items).I usually have a slightly wider foot, but I have found that the size 9’s are plenty wide enough for me.Love the boot, will be buying again if they’re still around when I wear out this pair!

I picked these shoes out when I had a bunch shipped on the try before you buy. They were the most comfortable and also water resistant. I work as a plumber's helper, so these things were important. Unfortunately 5 weeks in, the side seam has come undone and I can't get a refund. It is only on my right shoe, not my left, so it's not how they came. Plus that tear is going to make one shoe not water resistant.

Absolute Kaufempfehlungen

I wear leg braces and can’t seem to find wide shoes to try on in store anymore so thought I’d take a chance on these without trying on before buying. I ordered a half-size up as recommended and length seemed to be right. However, I ordered W as usual and the width is about the same as an average non-wide shoe size. I barely managed to get them over my braces but they were really tight. They also squeaked really loudly against my braces, which happens with some types of shoes for me, and would drive me crazy so I am returning them and not ordering a width-size up, which I probably would otherwise do. But I really liked the design and thought they looked like they would be great shoes. I need to find in-store wide shoes to try but alas, the convenience of online shopping has destroyed the in-store market…

Overall, good purchase. These shoes were very inexpensive, and are well made. Went to Alaska and had three very wet days. Spent most all of the day outdoors in the rain and my feet never once got cold or wet! I do not like getting cold so I was very happy. They are a tiny bit big but I would guess more people wear them with thick socks. I just wore my regular socks and it was not bad at all. I am very picky about my shoes and have a very high arch and my feet never hurt one time. Next time I wear them I will add an insert to help with support, this would be the only complaint that I have, the pad isn't great BUT I wear inserts with ALL of my tennis shoes so again, I've got a high arch and i'm picky!

I had a pair of these boots years ago that I really liked hiking, but over the years feet change and needs are different. My old boots are still serviceable but are too small for me now. These new boots are the right fit for me for hiking and backpacking which was what I intended them for. I think I will change laces as I have abhard time tightening these ones for some reason. I have to say I use orthotic insoles and had planned to change out the ones that came with the boots, however my feet really like these insoles. I am wondering if its possible to purchase another set of the insoles as they are the first things to break down on me and they are so comfortable. I am hoping that this is a possibility. Thanks! Happy customer!!

I have been wearing high Tec hiking boots for years, same pair. They're getting quite worn and I decided to try a new pair. I chose this, Altitude V11 and another pair of Columbia Newton. I got the Columbia a couple days ago. They fit OK but not as comfortable as my old high Tech. I got the new high Tech today and tried them on and it's amazing. This just snuggle my feet and are very comfortable. I got a 1/2 size up. I've been wearing 9 and a 1/2 regular width but bought a size 10 regular width and unfortunately they feel too big. I'll have to return them possibly get 9 1/2 wide. But I am impressed with how comfortable they are especially compared to the Columbia boots.

I just came back from my first hike with the HI-TEC boots and they were amazingly comfortable to walk in. They weren’t stiff or heavy at all and didn’t need to be broken into. I wear a 7 and a half in shoes and I brought my size, I wouldn’t say they’re too big, but they are roomy with regular socks. If I had bigger/thicker socks they would fit more snuggly. I don’t mind the extra room and it doesn’t affect me from walking/hiking. I highly recommend them, they are the most comfortable shoes I currently own. I was going to go for the Columbia hiking boots because they were prettier but the reviews on comfort were mixed. I’m so happy I went with the HI-TEC brand.
