Missing all gaskets. Is genuine Honda part. I hope I don't need them. I feel it might e a victim of returned product missing gaskets.

Old mower brought back to functional. The first 2-3 letters and the last 7 digits seemed to be the most informative for finding parts. Those were on the mower I repaired for family. It’s tricky getting the carb back on fwiw. But I was successful and the mower still works well.

For some reason, when I use my ultrasonic cleaner and carb wire set on a dirty Honda carb I get surges. This has happen to me 3 times now. So when a Honda GV160 comes in that surges I don't waste time cleaning the old carb I get this kit right here. You really need to make sure you put the gaskets in correctly or it will surge after you install the new carb. I liked the older bowl design with the side drain, this design sits too low and close to the mower deck on the Harmony mowers. Honda sure didn't it easy to install these with the long bolts and may layers that require gaskets, but I found using small plastic dowels helps.

My 15 year-old Craftsman with a Honda GCV160 motor on it wasn't running very well. It would only run with the choke on, and it didn't seem to be running at a high enough speed. I cleaned the carb thoroughly which got out all the gunk left behind by gas with ethanol in it and improved how it was running. I also found a local station that sells ethanol free gas and switched to that (much cheaper than buying the tiny fuel bottles at the home improvement store!) That was last year. This year it was running OK, but still not quite right, and then a whole tank of gas leaked out through the carb so I decided it was time to replace it. I almost bought a $500 Greenworks cordless, but decided to try this $25 carb. Wow! My mower is running like new again! My carb had a little bit different shaped bowl on it, but this one fit and worked perfectly. Having all the gaskets included is also a great benefit.

Having read the reviews closely, I decided to undertake this new adventure, feeling that I could surely do it! I have a Honda HRS 216 PDA lawnmower and apparently the carburetor on many of the Honda models is the same (be sure to check your mower model number to get the correct carburetor). This carburetor was a perfect fit, but it is not as easy to install as some reviews would have you believe (unless you are a mechanic). Let me share some tips from my experience. The best thing I could have done, I did--watch this Youtube video before doing anything (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kILLqpt7h4o ). That video also makes it look like a walk in the park, but there are some differences in real life. The old carburetor will probably be incredibly dirty and need cleaning off so you can prevent contamination of the new carb and so you can see to remove the spring and rods. I covered the air intake filter and carefully sprayed the carburetor off with a water hose nozzle before I started and placed the mower in the hot sun for a while to dry it off---that helped a lot. I would highly recommend that you put the mower on a work table or some surface where you are not kneeling (as I was) because not only was it hard to see what you were doing but I got cramped muscles from bending over the mower during the process. I also took pictures of the location of the 3 small rods and wires before I removed the old carburetor to insure that I replaced them in the same/correct holes. That was a good move but if you don't do that then watch the Youtube video carefully and be sure to notice the 2 rods' and 1 spring's relative terminal location before ever removing the old carb, and DO NOT FORCE the rods off/on or you could bend them and have problems that you do not want. Just work them loose and install gently. The hardest part for me, by far, was getting the 4 gaskets in place while working the bolts through the carburetor and into the body of the lawnmower. It will help a lot if you can have a partner ( a kid can do it) to hold the bolts in place as you position the gaskets because the bolts have a tendency to move backwards as you tilt the outside cover to get it into position. When you get all into place, recommend alternately tightening the bolts to insure equal pressure on the gaskets as you ratchet them in. I did the entire operation solo, but could have prevented a lot of perspiration on a hot day if I had used a partner for the simple job of keeping the bolts from moving backwards which allowed the gaskets to fall out repeatedly.A long narrative but meant to help smooth over the potential rough spots before you begin. After installation of the new carburetor (also took the opportunity to replace the spark plug and air filter) I put fresh gas in my mower and pulled the starter rope: a roar and into life on first pull! Works as good as it did when new!I have a good feeling about this experience and am very glad I did it. How many times these days do we get the opportunity to see immediate positive feedback from our work input? I did here! Good luck!

The quality of the parts is fine and this kit is exactly the set of parts needed to replace your carb. It was a little confusing to select the right carb kit or carb and gaskets separately, so pay attention to the model/serial number matches when you are considering the several sources and options to be sure you match part numbers. The gaskets are a critical part of this replacement, so be very careful and don't try it without new gaskets. The new carb does not start up the engine as easily as the old one...not sure why. Original carb would start second pull full choke. New one has to be pulled 5-7 times. Maybe the carbs float bowl is drying out between uses or the float setting is much lower. Runs well.UPDATE: The parts shipped 31 May. I installed early to mid-june and used the mower about 2 times. As noted above, it was harder to start than I was used to, but it ran OK once started. The carb kit was obviously installed and working. Just hard to start. But, when I tried to start the mower (July 9th) I wore out the outside cover on the starter rope pulling and pulling. Suspecting the new carb, next morning I checked all the other options and lastly drained the gas, replaced with some fresh gas. Started on the second pull. It ran well again after bad gas in the float bowl burned off. Restarted 1st pull. Seems OK. Meanwhile Amazon replied appropriately to my inquiry about return/replace options and an issue I raised about the item NOT being returnable because the return window had expired July 1st. But, no need to return...I hope.
