We have a Dolphin vacuum for our pool. Previously we used a pool broom to fish it out. Sometimes we would catch it on the first try , and gently balance it until it was out of the water. It’s heavy when it’s full of water so it was a true balancing act to pull up the broom while bending to grab at the Dolphin before it slipped back into the water. With the hook you can just pull it up and sit it on the deck. Much easier.
