I have to admit that I have used this product to fix my boat horn that gave out on me in less then one year. This product is all enclosed except for a small opening that I enclosed with a small piece of plastic and industrial glue. I did not have to make a lot of adjustments and I have an extra horn as a backup. Another marine horn would have cost me over seventy dollars and I have already replaced several of them. I hope this one will last longer because the way it is built. No exposed moving parts, no exposed coil, once you put a small piece of plastic foil over the opening it is all enclosed. With this MacGyvering I have managed to give my marine horn a new life by replacing its guts.
