This is a keyboard that turns your iPad into a laptop in effect. There are benefits and drawbacks to using such a device. The obvious benefit is that you get to use word processing and send emails while touch typing. The draw back is that you have to drag along the keyboard. The iPad already is set up to serve most of your needs.I typically use my iPad when I do not want to use a laptop. It works well when I am travelling, and even though you have to hunt and peck your responses to email and it is not ideal for composing long emails it does largely get the job done without requiring a lot of weight. It also is much more efficient than my laptop at conserving power.In the last few years I have travelled to Chennai in India, Budapest in Hungary, Paris in France, Quebec City, Edmonton and Calgary in Alberta and even Toronto a few times, all without bringing a laptop and have largely managed to use my iPad and later even just an iPhone to stay in touch. This product is helping me stray from that ideal but for some maybe such straying is necessary. I am still on the fence as to whether that straying is necessary for me.

It’s detachable, which allows me to use the iPad in a more relaxed way when I’m just watching videos or browsing, and then easily attach it when I need to do more serious typing. The keyboard keys are well-spaced and responsive, making typing comfortable and efficient. I especially love the 7-color backlight, which is a cool feature, perfect for working at night or in low-light settings. It’s adjustable too, so you can set it to the brightness and color you prefer. It’s a great touch for personalizing your device.One of my favorite features is the rotatable design. The iPad can be rotated 360 degrees, so I can switch between portrait and landscape mode with ease, which is especially useful for video calls or presentations. The elastic pen holder is also a nice bonus, keeping my Apple Pencil easily accessible at all times, without the fear of losing it.

I'm a really big fan of this keyboard just because of how good it generally feels. The keyboard comes with a decent weight and I personally enjoy typing and using it more than the magic keyboard because it's detachable. The trackpad is decently sized (and at least, more than enough to use for an iPad) and the keyboard keys themselves feel like decent quality slimmed laptop keys.It's particularly nice because it's a case and a keyboard combo which is unlike a lot of other things on the market. That alongside USB-C charging makes this convenient in basically every way possible which is very nice for the consumer! I was hesitating to give this 5*, and was leaning 4* because the price with coupon right now it $109.99 CAD, which is a little steep. But honestly given the quality, and if you use your tablet to type a lot and really want a trackpad, this is a pretty decent buy. If you're in the market for something like this, I'd recommend it!

When this listing caught my eye, I jumped at the chance to check out this "Hou branded keyboard case for the iPad 10th Gen. I recently picked up another 10th Gen iPad on sale and I was hoping this Hou case could be a worthwhile addition to it.This product comes in retail style packaging. It is well packaged for transport and mine arrived free of any damage issues. The look and level of quality with this product stands out. This has the look and feel of a premium product in my opinion. A concise setup manual along with a USB-C charging cable are included. (You will need to supply your own 5V Power Adapter which is very common these days)My current stylus fits into the integrated magnetic pen holder groove very well. I am pleased to report that the iPad 10th Gen is a near perfect glove fit into the cover protection shell. The iPad seats into it firmly as it should! I like the keyboard! It has a decent feel for comfortable touch typing and the nice backlighting is a great bonus. I just prefer just leaving it set to BLUE, but I appreciate having the multiple colour options. I encounted no issues at all in achieving a BT keyboard connection with my iPad and I cannot really notice any lag issues with my use with it thus far over the last few weeks.I appreciate the inclusion of both magnetic stylus holder along with a simple elastic one on the back of the case for those who do not have a magentic compatible one. Its good to have options.One difference with this case over other similar ones I have previously used is the ability to easily set the tablet to a vertical vs. horizontal orientation. The magnet backing holds the iPad firmly, but switching the orientation on the fly requires no effort which is a big plus. The Kickstand works well for what it is.In the end, I am very impressed with this Hou iPad 10th Gen keyboard case. At the time of me writing this it had a current listing price of $119.99. However, when I acquired this a few weeks ago the price was set at $89.99 which I feel would have been a fantastic value for this case. The price increase is disappointing, but is actually still reasonable for what you are getting here. This is a good quality product and it performs well. I certainly feel this product is worthy of being on your list of possible considerations if you are shopping for a good quality Keyboard/Case combo that simply just works as intended. I am giving this a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

Das "HOU iPad 10. Generation Case mit Tastatur" ist - soviel vorab - auch kompatibel mit dem iPad 11, da dies das gleiche Gehäuse wie das iPad 10 hat. Das iPad 11 jedenfalls passt perfekt in die Hülle, die Aussparungen für die Kamera, die Ladebuchse, den Ein- und Ausschalter sowie die Lüftungsschlitze sind genau da, wo sie sein sollen. Neben dem "Case" ist zusätzlich noch ein recht kurzes USB-C-Ladekabel im Lieferumfang enthalten, das für das Aufladen der Tastatur genutz werden kann, jedes andere USB-C-Kabel funktioniert aber auch.Zunächst zur Hülle: Diese passt - wie schon gesagt - perfekt zum iPad 11. Das iPad steckt sozusagen in der Hülle, d.h. der Rand der Hülle steht ein klein wenig über, so dass das iPad, wenn es auf dem Bildschirm liegt, eben nicht auf dem Bildschirm liegt, sondern auf dem Rand der Hülle (vorausgesetzt, es liegt auf einer ebenen Oberfläche...). Die Ränder bestehen dabei aus einem stabil wirkenden Silikongummi, die Rückwand ist (von innen) eine harte Kunststoffplatte. Von außen ist an der Rückseite ein drehbarer Stützmechanismus angebracht, der sehr gut funktioniert - man kann das iPad also nicht nur im Querformat, sondern auch im Hochformat aufstellen, sinnvoll für z.B. Vielschreiber oder beim Lesen von längeren Texten. Die Außenseite der Hülle jedenfalls ist "griffsympathisch" gummiert, so dass das iPad in der Hülle nicht so leicht aus der Hand oder vom Tisch rutscht. Auf der Rückseite der Hülle gibt es zusätzlich eine Möglichkeit, den Pencil (ob nun original oder nachgemacht) aufzubewahren. Wenn der Pencil hier eingesteckt ist, entsteht auf der Hülle ein Huppel, os dass die Hülle nicht mehr flach auf dem Tisch liegt und ggfs. nicht mehr ein ein dafür vorgesehenes Fach in einer Tasche passen könnte...Der Deckel der Hülle beinhaltet die Tastatur nebst Trackpad, welches erstaunlich gut funktioniert. Die Tastatur hat ein deutsches Tastenlayout im Apple-Stil, also keine Windows-Taste, dafür control, option und cmd, und so weiter, darüber hinaus am oberen Rand Funktionstasten zur Lautstärkensteuerung, Mikro, etc. pp.. Zudem kann die Tastatur beleuchtet werden (extra Taste dafür auf der Tastatur). Sie wird über einen Schiebeschalter neben der Ladebuchse eingeschaltet und hat sich problemlos mit dem iPad verbunden. Die Tasten selbst haben einen für die Größe der Tastatur angenehmen Tastenhub, das Schreiben damit ist durchaus nicht unangenehm. Auch die Tastatur ist komplett gummiert (keine Kratzer auf dem Tisch, hatten wir alles schon mal...) und magnetisch an der Hülle befestigt, so dass sie beim Schreiben vom Rest der Hülle (und dem iPad) getrennt werden kann (aber nicht muss).Die Hülle hat eine augenscheinlich sehr gute Verarbeitungsqualität und auch die Materialqualität kann (zumindest in den ersten Wochen) überzeugen. Alles in allem wirkt die Hülle gut durchdacht - bis auf die Pencil-Aufbewahrung, die ist zwar an und für sich ganz OK, gefällt mir persönlich aber nicht ganz so gut. Wo wir gerade beim Meckern sind: Die Tastatur lässt sich, wenn magnetisch befestig, nicht ganz auf die Rückseite klappen - macht man es doch, liegt der Magnet der Halterung nicht mehr plan an der Seite; wenn man dann nicht aufpasst, kann die Tastatur abfallen.Fazit: Eine gute Hülle, viele durchdachte Details, das iPad (10 oder 11) wird gut geschützt. Tastatur mit deutschem Apple-Layout und für meine Begriffe gutem Tastenhub (zumindest für die Preisklasse). Durch die Tastatur sowie den Drehmechanismus für die Hülle wird das Gesamtpaket (iPad, Hülle, Tastatur) jedoch ziemlich dick und schwer, dass sollte man nicht verschweigen; eine vergleichbare Schutzausrüstung anderer Hersteller ist dahingehend aber auch nicht besser. Ich jedenfalls bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser Hülle, die für meine Bedürfnisse absolut ausreichend ist. Trotz der kleinen Schwächen vergebe ich hier gerne fünf Sterne.
