Ibanez Steve Vai signature series guitar picks are made in collaboration with the legendary guitarist to meet his high standards both in functions and designs. Steve Vai knows what’s needed in a pick to express his powerful world of music. His signature pick is made from polyacetal, a material specially designed for a fast attack. The teardrop shape opens the door to a wide range of playing attacks, from blues and chord strumming to fast lead playing.

Opened the packed, immediately my cheekbones became godly and my hair was getting blown back by a wind that came from nowhere. Also my knowledge of the Lydian mode was dramatically improved and I now find myself meditating inside a pyramid frame doing astral projections. In short these picks have changed my life.

If you're used Jazz III's but need a bigger round rip for tracking rhythm or something this is a pretty good option. they have a bit more of a point than a standard 351 and the wings are pretty straight (think Dunlop extra sharp mixed with 351.) I like the grip but people who like smooth picks probably will not because it's pretty grippy.

Brava IBANEZ !!!

The rubber grip wears off after a pretty short period of time but the picks are great because of the shape and the tone they get. I've switched to other picks on and off and keep finding myself coming back to these. It takes some getting used to the unique shape, especially when picking through fast runs. I found that relaxing the grip on those runs does the trick (especially with this pick) and produces a really nice "plucky/thick" tone. The extra length of the pick helps with sweeping and when using tremolo bar during phrases. Overall, I "enjoy" playing more with this pick now that I've adjusted to it. I recommend that if you try it, that you give it a good month to get used to it before judging.

I was rather surprised by the level of quality and thought put into a simple, little guitar pick. Grown tired of quickly going through picks due to depletion of feel and execution after what I considered a minimal amount of playing time; I decided to investigate a new manufacturer. Let me add that the picks that I was using (will remain nameless) are quite popular and an obvious good seller. As I ventured out, I discovered the Ibanez Steve Vai Signature Rubber Grip Picks. One would think that I was sold on the Vai endorsement but it was the pick description and the many reviews from various sources that drew me to make this purchase. Mind you, these picks are not cheap and by that I mean monetary-wise. Now to the pick: its gripping power is far superior to another other pick I've used; I find that whilst playing some notes that would "escape" before were now captured with the clarity and style I applied; and ironically the pick is durable as heck as I am still using the first pick even after several sessions. Ergo as a consumer the pick is well worth its cost and I highly recommend serious players to give it a try. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope you found it helpful.

These picks are definitely a great product. The extra point on the end of them adds for a more concentrated picking style. And there are also grips where the fingers grip is giving in extreme comfort and ease of use. If your finger sweat after playing for a while, or just in general. These would be great for that. Since I practice a long time usually, it happens very often. These picks solve the nasty slippery sweat problem of my pick moving around whilst playing. Plus, they are "signed by Steve Vai" that always makes you feel fancy.
