Luckily I haven't had a flood bad enough to see if these do their job of dislodging when the flood waters come, but they seem like they should work.The problem is that the inner piece is just a slab of Styrofoam with a black plastic rectangle stuck on the front of it with double-sided tape. On three of the four vents I installed, the plastic piece fell off within six months of installation, and it was impossible to reattach them because they warp.It wouldn't be so bad if the Styrofoam itself was black or some kind of neutral color, but it's a really ugly aqua blue.

Used these in combination with other insulated flood vents around my perimeter. Wish they were a cheaper given they are plastic and foam, but there aren't many other options around and these are half the price of smart flood vents. Will see how they hold up.
