I purchased the 1/2" size and it was much too loose in 1/2" tubing for a secure fit without worry of leaking fuel. It is described as being rated for use with fuel, yet the fit is very loose compared with other 1/2" fittings on the same 1/2" hose, that I did not feel confident in using. I could easily remove the barb after being fully inserted into the tubing whereas other fittings would hold tightly even without hose clamps.
